I am loving this song so much, so much that I just made a piano karaoke version of it and made a cover singing it on YouTube

 

Aside from the comedy at the end the lyrics are extremely deep and touching to me

 

That's what I love...Deadpool epicness aside, these lyrics I believe are touching a lot of hearts today. In a world that is so broken, this is a perfect song for everyone. I am SO moved by this song. And whether a Celine fan or not, she brings back a certain nostalgia I think that gives people a heart warming feeling. It's a Celine "re-boot"! LOL They're re-booting every 90s show these days...today Celine gets her epic 90s re-boot.

Got the chance to listen to the song this morning and I quite enjoyed it. The music, the soaring vocals make for one of her best releases in a long time. I also quite enjoy how every news/entertainment outlet is stunned by the collaboration. She telling the world (those who didn't know) this is me, I can do it all!

We can't compare this to LMBTL. The marketing was different, they were adamant about not really doing much for the song from even before it was released. I'm not saying it would have been a smash, but had they taken a similar approach as with "Ashes," it would have had more of an impact. People talk about LMBTL like it was such a far stray from what she usually does. It was a bit more modern, but in all honesty it was a midtempo ballad. Wonderful reading in this thread today! It's been at least as fun to read here as to watch the video.

 

I believe the success here is that she isn't taking herself too seriously and allows herself to joke about herself. Doing that with this fun character who speaks to the younger audience. Super move, whoever came up with this idea I thank ye! As it has been mentioned before the collaboration itself is the hit, not really the song. So happy for both her team and "Deadpools team".

 

Now I hope for too much but still I hope she continues on this playful note and records Maty Noyes' tune London!! It would sound fab with Céline!!!
