I think the reverb also helps to have resonance. Why don’t they use that anymore in live albums of céline? Is because it sounds so 90’s? I mean, Mariah is still doing it...

It's great you have no qualms with accepting the status quo. However, for many of us, we're tired of it. Many of the items we've been asking to be done for years (eg. remix album, "The Collectors Series - Volume Two," 80s releases on CD/digital formats) require little to no involvement on Celine's part. Just sayin'.

 

If I remember most of the 80's stuff is available online to buy in CD format so I don't understand that comment? Also don't we tend to get remixes on singles? Celine isn't the artist that will release a whole remix album! TBH I think she's too good for that! I don't mean that in a rude way but what I'm saying is that she is a high level of quality and most artist that have remix albums are newer artist, that's not to say for everyone but Celine is like Whitney in a way with music where she is known for her hits! Remixes are only popular among us but tbh they're not as popular around the regular crowed. She is a higher level of quality that's what I'm trying to say! I do love her remixes but I can't see a whole remix album being created. Also do we really need another collector's album? I can't think of any other songs to add?

All of the pre-Sony era studio albums (prior to Incognito) are only available on vinyl and cassette, there's still quite a few songs that have not been released on CD.

People, let's calm down a little... It's a release only for Japan which I'm almost sure Celine is not even aware of. It's only Sony in Japan trying to sell 'something new' to people who go to the concerts. So, yes, they could've done better, but it's not a major release, it's only regional. It doesn't mean that it's replacing the new album or a live release. It's just for people who go to the concert and want to buy a greatest hits, so they offer one with a different cover. It's not like Celine saying 'what can we release now?.. Oh, lets give them another compilation'. It's just Sony trying to sell IN JAPAN.

And maybe it ends up being a pretty nice edition, like Un Peu De Nous, which has a very nice packaging and also contains insteumental tracks as bonus.

But don't be so tragic like if it's an official worldwide release replacing the release of the new album.

Celine is probably facing the most critical moment of her career, suffering a condition that could prevent her from even singing again, going through a surgery with a high failure rate. And here we are discussing a compilation that you can simply decide not to buy it and move on. She has been suffering this PET thing for 18 months (apparently symptoms are quite unpleasant) but still she did a tour, planned a new one and is recording a new album, could you just please enjoy the good? She has money enough for a couple of Dion generations not to worry about even working, she could easily stop now, so anything you get from now on see it as a gift and be grateful.

 

Celine and her team announce a crappy record release, right?

The opinions about that have nothing to do with Celine's health issues

Is the surgery really that dangerous as what some of you guys think? I think it’s already done and the surgery is successful and she’s just having a rest and just taking time to heal from the surgery.

Exactly!!! Thank God there is some clear minds here that don’t love to mix up everything and CONFUSE things on every conversation around here :rolleyes:

 

Though this wasn’t announced by Celine nor her team in any way right. But still, is crap, it’s the same compilation album that has been released already in 17 other editions and yes, we have all the right to complain. And if some don’t like to read those comments, you know where the door is. Go to la la land and smile and swallow everything your idol does without saying a word as a flock of sheep.

I don't think Céline needs to comment on R Kelly. She has nothing to do with him now. And when she performs I'm Your Angel, it's with Barnev. It would be different if she sang the song with him appearing on a video in the background.

 

The song is on the TAST album and she can't take it back and it's been almost 19 years since they worked together.

Her name is Celine Dion not R. Kelly.

Yes, she recorded a (great) song with him, her last #1 song in the USA, but that's not a crime. So why she needs to comment or erase the fact that she created a beautiful duet song with R. Kelly?

By the way, Phil Spector is a convicted murderer and we all want to ear the unreleased songs he produced for Celine...
