Dvd's do not take this long! It's no high end off the top production. We all know that, just 2 extra camera's and that's it.

 

And we do not ask a lot of Celine, she already done her job, it's Sony who needs to come up with better ideas.

 

The only decent English compilation was ATW, and we are still waiting for the English version of the ONCP release. That was worth the money!

 

Well the TC tour DVD took over 2 years to make.... and the LIM only took a while as they got it off tv. ACDS took a year and a half and the AND dvd took 8-9 months. DVDS do take a while and alot of people fail to realise how long it takes to condense 4 hours of footage and edit it and PUT NEW PRE. RECORDED TRACKS TO COVER HER LATEST ONES ( as they did in the TC dvd they recorded new tracks for all the lipped songs ) and edit her talking and fix it all from all the many cameras... remember thats 4 hours on each camera aka over 28 hours at least.

 

That and they have to do the french and english ones too

They auto tuned her voice here. That's why i don't like the TCWT DVD. A New Day... Live in Las Vegas DVD sounds more natural even though they auto tune it a little.

Sorry, got ACDS mixed up with the Vegas 2003 DVD. My bad.

 

Still as with Memphis, it was just taken straight from the aires tv files, edited slightly and released. Alot easier than doing recordings and all that as with TC.

Going back to the topic, I have no idea of what they're planning in regards of a home-video release of these Summer tours... in case that they are planning something. I just would love to know what really happened between Céline and Julie 'cause since they're no longer together, the closest we've had to a home video release is the Accés Illimitè special from 2016.

I just hope that if they will release a Live Album... the quality should sound like a studio.. Since they are editing céline's voice why not make it like a studio. Listen to her 2 live albums that has best sound quality.

And the tracklist of My Love is far from a complete retrospective -like ONCP is-, and more of just a "greatest hits" album: there's barely any presence of the Unison/Celine Dion/The Colour Of My Love albums, but for the usual hits. And only one song from Unison is there.

 

ONCP Deluxe edition was a combination of hits PLUS other less known songs that barely got the level of hits -and some even had never been singles- (En attendant ses pas, Je lui dirai, Vole etc) and it also had 3 discs, one of them dedicated mostly to all her first French songs (including some unavailable before on a Sony Music album of hers like CNEQUR or Fais ce que tu voudras). And then the matching DVD with unreleased videoclips and a new documentary. Yeah, exactly like they did with ML

 

All in all: My Love was faaar from the quality and variety of contents that ONCP offered...

 

Just one more proof that her French career has always been well taken care of while her English one lacks that care completely.

 

And speaking again of this random upcoming compilation, I've got the feeling that this and Un Peu De Nous would have never happened if René was still alive, maybe even Aldo wouldn't have allowed these releases...

 

Yes, I do understand that it's a regional release for those countries that she'll visit... but hey, it's 2018 after all, there are tons of better ways to promote her there than this. It's as if they hadn't evolved since the release of Complete Best, which was ten years ago.

It's an extra for all those who bought Un peu de nous and thought it was a live album and it wasn't... this time they'll have a more elegant kleenex on hand when they learn they've been ripped off again

 

So in a way... Sony thought about us with that handkerchief thing, it's the bonus material in the album we've been asking for all these years!

 

I guess it has something to do with Japanese culture, where handkerchief is an essential accecorise for japanesse, though it has nothing to do with music, I think it's smart marketing.

These last 2 tours they just recored with 2 extra camera's, and it's not a technical highend production. So these dvds could have been released sooner than later.

My Love The Essential isn't in the same category as is ONCP.

 

MLTE is just a random another collection album.

Where with ONCP they really made the effort to give us something special.

i hope another productioncopy is working on the dvd since we want raw Celine and no prerecorded or rerecorded tracks and not a polished studio recording that does not sound live at all. Esspecially when muting audience sounds..
