I don't know if you guys have already watched this, but Radio-Canada shared extracts of Céline's 3 first appearances on the TV channel + a clip from an interview at Montreal's Olympic Stadium in 1983.

Based on what I'm seeing in other threads, it seems people need something new to be outraged about.

And boy, have I got just the thing.

 

This is from March 2018, recorded in the midst of Celine's 50th B-Day bonanza, but I just stumbled on it.

 

An hour + discussion about Celine, hosted by Tranna Wintour and Thomas Leblanc, who put on the Sainte Celine show in Montreal.

Features extended interviews with Brendan Kelly (who of course writes for Montreal Gazette and has been covering Celine for nearly 30 years), and Carl Wilson (who authored the hit LTAL book along with pieces like that Macleans one).

 

There's... a lot to unpack here. On both sides of the pro and con-Celine debate. A lot that's going to raise many eyebrows around here, so proceed with caution and don't say I didn't warn you!

Got half an hour in and I literally just couldnt listen anymore lol

 

But i can probably guess what they were gonna say. It seems Tranna is trying very hard to be what many people want to be now adays : a 90s resurrection, and theyre doing that through disliking everything mainstream, including Celine as shown multiple times, but at the end of the day thats their opinion
