She was performing in Paris & Antwerp in 2013 to promote Sans Attendre. Although, you're right she did perform a few songs from LMBTL and did promo for LMBTL in the UK, Germany etc during that time. But 2 years after a francophone release seems a little too far out.

 

The shows were just as much LMBTL as they were SA and it coincided with the release of LMBTL. By your logic she could still be promoting EUS this summer. Not that I'd mind that at all actually.

I know Celine will be in Vegas for a while but it would be great if she does incorporate a small stint of East Coast concerts especially in NYC.

 

For Japan, my one wish is to see Celine doing TO LOVE YOU MORE and reuniting with Taro Hakase. The last time they ever did that song together was during A NEW DAY celebrating Taro's 10th Anniversary of the start of his career. CELINE & TARO together again please!!!

The rumours are tiring but the fans always waiting for more and insisting and insiting and insisting on things to happen are even moooore tiring

 

Just give the girl a break. She just visited Europe and most of you had her at your doorstep not a year ago, and you want her back again, almost demanding her to visit you again. French fans wanting her back in Paris again this year for a third consecutive year looks even greedy, when there's so many places she hasn't visited not even once. Everyone has the right to want a concert of Céline in their own country, but this time it's the turn of others who haven't had her in 10 years, some never before, in their own city.

 

And at the same time, I reckon Céline can't multiply and be everywhere guys. She's not the Pope If she ever comes to my country, I'm more than happy, but if that doesn't happen, I'm fine with that too. I can go somewhere else near my place. But I won't get sleepless nights waiting and hoping and forcing for some news to happen in that sense, when she's an artist that is incessantly performing non-stop like a machine all year round. I won't demand.

 

To those who are anxiously waiting to see her again near their home, I suggest finding some more artists out there in program and/or enjoy the summer, the sun, the fresh air or go to other music festivals. There's a world of possibilities beyond attending a Céline Dion show lol

But the truth is that what Celine wants is just another excuse to organise her summer holidays and take her family on the road to discover new countries and places with her children. And in the meantime, she fills her pockets with some money doing a bunch of performances here and there. But the tour is secondary, it’s only an excuse to go on holiday with her family.

 

And in the meantime, a tiny 5% of her hardcore fans is only waiting for new songs to be released and that damn English album to happen, so then (and only then) another tour would make sense. I belong to that 5% lol

I just miss there was more artistic input and motivation (musically talking) behind it A real excuse behind this tour like a new album to show the world or a new concept of show that brings her songs to a new level. But we all know it's all going to be the same as the previous years. We all know what she will sing (sauf rare exceptions that will bring a breath of fresh her to the setlist) and we all know that the stage will be what will be. Her team did not even take the trouble to promote this tour with a new picture of her

A lot of "catalog" and "classic" artists do this..... Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney....

Plenty of artists tour every year without new music. And maybe she is touring simply for the fact that so many fans do not get to come to Vegas. Which in my opinion, is a grander gesture than requiring that she only tour for new albums.

All those artists you mention are either promoting their last album, celebrating the anniversary of an iconic album of them, a greatest hits release, or have a concept behind their act. Céline's reason for her 2017 and 2018 tours is... ¿?

 

Two tours that are titled simply "Live 201X". The sole title denotes the lack of purpose behind them, as well as the absolute lack of inspiration and creativity from her team, who is unable to come up with a title for a tour.

 

Maybe because after all, there's no reason for it to happen other than milking the singing machine of her 90s hits that she is today?

Reading all the comments, isnt it clear that her team is positioning and has been positioning her the last 10 years as a 'live' performer rather than those manufactured artists or engineered performance heavy artists that need to compensate for the clear lack of vocal prowess versus the contemporary scene. LMBTL had a video... It was the live performance that she did in Canada, duh! I think this positioning is a smart move that will cement her legacy long after she is gone for her pure vocal talent and one of very few artists that sound even better live. When you have such a God given tool and talent, what more do you need? She is a legendary vocalist, and that my friends is differentiation in today's market based on her strength and being true to her. So so many artists look up to her and quote her as an influence and inspiration and that list is growing. Celine Dion is the best live vocalist on the planet bar none and long may that legacy reign.
