I am watching the Malta's ESC Finals and so far have enjoyed it; below the participants in running order:

Aidan – Dai laga

Mariana Conte – Rocket

Jasmine – Supernova

Matthew Anthony – Call 2morrow

Danica – One step at a time

Dwett – Breaking point

Lawrence Grey – Love renegade

Richard & Joe – Song for dad

Tiziana – First time

Eleonor Cassar – Back to Life

Rhiannon – Beyond Blue Horizon

Brooke – Heart of Gold

Christabelle Borg – Taboo

Deborah C – Turn it up

Avenue Sky – We can run

Petra – Evolution

I enjoyed all songs, but the most were from:

Aidan - Jasmine - Danica - Richard & Joe - Tiziana - Eleonor - Rhiannon - Brooke - Christabelle - Deborah C - Avenue Sky - Petra

And now we wait on the results; but if it were me I would choose Brooke, Rhiannon or Avenue Sky to represent Malta at ESC 2018 in LIsbon

As you know I am always most certainly wrong with ESC ... so who knows!

Oh wow ... that result was amazing!!!

So glad for Christabelle ... did not think she could win though!!!

Congrats to Malta!

UK is choosing their artist and song tonight:

Who is in the running to represent the UK?

The six competing artists and songs in 2018:

Asanda - Legends - written by Christopher Wortley, Laurell Barker & Roel Rats

16-year-old school girl Asanda first wowed the British public when she appeared on the 2013 series of Britain's Got Talent aged 11. Simon Cowell and his fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams took her through to the finals of the competition after watching her sassy renditions of hits by Beyoncé and Rihanna.

Goldstone - I Feel The Love - written by Eric Lumiere, Joakim Buddee, Laura White & Roel Rats

Formed in 2013, the girls from Goldstone are vocal powerhouses, comfortable with performing live in front of audiences of all shapes and sizes, be they intimate UK gigs or international concerts in front of thousands. Each member is a talent in their own right, each having carved out a professional career in music and on stage.

Jaz Ellington - You - written by Ashley Hicklin, Herman Gardarfve & Laura White

As a seasoned vocal arranger for many years, London-based Jaz has been involved with music for a good 15 years of his life. Growing up, he was exposed to the likes of Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder and Luther Vandross, who left a profound impact on his vocal style.

Liam Tamne - Astronaut - written by Ashley Hicklin, Jacob Pedersen, Jeanette Bonde & Rune Braager

Trained as an actor at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, Surrey, Liam has an impressive and extensive list of theatre credits to his name. From Raoul in Phantom of the Opera to Link Larkin in Hairspray; West End star Liam has the incredible ability to convey true emotion to any role he plays with impecible stage presence.

RAYA - Crazy - written by Emil Rosendal Lei, Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir & Samir Salah Elshafie

With years of professional performance experience, RAYA is a singer, dancer and DJ. Graduating from BIMM (British and Irish Modern Music Institute) London College with the award for The Best Performer of the Year, she's since gone on to provide backing vocals for Hurts, danced for Little Mix and has appeared in the TV drama Mr Selfridge.

SuRie - Storm - written by Nicole Blair, Gil Lewis & Sean Hargreaves

SuRie is an actress and singer who is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest, appearing as a backing singer for Loïc Nottet in 2015 and Blanche at Eurovision 2017.

Personally I love "Legends" and "I Feel the Love" is a close second ...

SuRie won. Thought she would by the audience’s reaction.

I thought it would be her, and the young girl second.

SuRie’s high note when she sang the second time was a bit painful though. Hope she does well on the night!

I didn't see that coming tbh.

Before the show I was almost certain Asandra is gonna win, but when she sang live I was like "nope, no way"

The low parts of her song would have gotten lost in the Arena on Finals night. Found it a bit hard to understand some of what she was singing too. But she definitely got the second best reaction from the audience.

Saw a brief interview with a Eurovision fan this morning, he goes every year etc. Met quite a few winners over the years too - and he mentioned Celine and there was a picture of him with her in 1989.

Absolutely agree ... that part of the song is what hurt her chances ...

#4, though only four songs have been released up to this point, so anything can change for me :)

#6 is kind of favourite to win, it's by this famous Polish DJ

Nice choice!

My favorite was Albin Fredy who came in 3rd

Watching the Sanremo Final night now ... it's been a fantastic journey!

Not sure who will win ... as voting has been very different every night before tonight!

My favorites are: The Kolors & the Meta/Moro duet & Lo Stato Sociale

Then: Annalisa (who did fantastic tonight) & Noemi (singing later in the show)

But I am ready to find out who will represent Italy at ESC 2018
