Why so much hate on people covers Celine song??? To me this is the best male cover version for me!

There's a young teen boy covered the song on youtube & pretty much the same key as Celine but he's too young to fully understand the song also he doesn't really speak English so yeah! Billy's the best male version!!

Did any of u watched him did adeles songs?? It was really good!

I hope Billy wins this season though!

I love it when people cover Celine songs! Especially when male singers do it since the songs feel so much different. And as a matter of fact I have posted several covers in others threads and I am always looking up for more of them! However, this performance was subpar... for the reasons explained above. I thought his performance was absolutely out of this world! I've never seen anyone else do it justice, by a long shot, until now. The kid has incredible pipes. His version of Anyway by Martina McBride a precious week was also absolutely spectacular.

I loved his version of I Surrender and I also loved his performance of Martina's song. A lot of people, especially from other countries, won't know this, but twenty years ago, Billy was a fresh, innocent young teen with that cute little boy voice singing country music. To see him today...wow. I am still a fan and honestly hope he wins. I'm not crazy about people covering her songs. Like his coach, Adam said, there is no bigger challenge than Celine Dion songs. And I've heard a lot of males do not so great covers of it. But his made me stop and go okay, someone else can do this song well. I hope he wins and am glad Tim got this topic started. It's fun following him on Twitter because he gives spoilers for those on the West Coast. lol

Only Celine has done the song justice. All other performances are souless to me. Singers treat the song as ground to show off their vocals, there's no emotion, just exhibitionism.

 

I have seen kids performing the song which makes me cringe. Such a dramatic content of forbidden love, it is ridiculous to have kids sing such lyrics.

Those karioke versions make me wanna cut my ears off. Those wanna bes are a dime a dozen and are all made with the same generic cookie cutter.

Okay just to know what you are all talking about i just listened to his rendition of I surrender..

First it started kind of okay and i was like..promising. But his voice..not impressed yet. And then he starts singing out of tune..more and more and more until it becomes unbearable! Wow that waa awful. And he tries to do the high adlibs and high notes..completely offkey. Screaming them with his thin not spectacular voice. Ouch..stay away from this song! Far far away! Oh and to imitate Vegas using the curtaindrop and after that singing even worse.

Judging from this song only i say...you're out! At least to me he is. What a total screamfest!

Gosh this was horrible to hear!

He has this annoying squeaky voice and with this song it was a screamfest all over. It lacked warmth and feeling.

A big no for me...
