But even in Paris it looks like you have to be quite lucky or to camp outside 24/7 to have 'a moment', and I don't blame Celine, there is security matter, she needs to rest, though she is usually very generous and after all it's fans' choice to stay outside and wait

Anyway I hope UK fans will be lucky if there is a chance

 

YES!! It's all about luck!!

 

I got my luck 5 hours after landing in Paris where I got my selfie and 2 autographs on 2 different cds.

I came to the hotel every day and the two nights that I didn't go to see Céline at a Concert.

She never signed any more autographs took selfies for the rest of the week.

There were exceptions! A mother with her baby, standing outside the hotel from 6pm to 2 am!!! like seriously who does that with a baby. Then if you were a kid, you got to stand by the hotel door (The kids aren't even fans) and if you were in wheelchair. These were the exceptions.

 

So it's all about luck and patience.

 

But waiting outside the hotel was a lot of fun. I made so many new friends, we ordered food to the hotel (I know ) and we had lots of laughs. Even if we saw Céline just for a few minutes, it was very much worth it.

 

Towards the end, I was becomigng a pro and knew it was better just to arrive at the hotel just before she leaves. When she sits up on the roof of the car, that's where you get the best pictures and get closest to her.

Her voice was amazing last night! The crowd were amazing also! They should really film this tour.. It such a waste not to film it. Huge crowd, Great setlist, Better vocals (her voice is improving [i remember TCWT her voice was amazing like it upgraded]... Maybe it's really true that performing live strengthen your vocal chords... The passing of Rene really affected her vocals.. but now it's improving.. maybe in a later year she'll fully recover.. i hope!

I feel like the release of a compilation album limits the chances of us getting a live CD/DVD from the francophone leg of this tour. Cause it would be very weird to have two different products released in France with the SAME track sequence, one being current live versions and the other old studio versions.

 

Maybe the CD/DVD release will be from the anglophone leg of the tour. It would make more sense IMO.

Her voice is in amazing shape! By this time, last year, she had already shown signs of exhaustion. This year she seems to be getting better and better! Her stamina is remarkable!

 

I think last year though they did far too many consecutive shows, if I remember correctly. This time there hasn't been many, more often than not she has a day or two between. Hopefully they've learnt and if she does another tour like last years one , France etc, they'll spread dates out a little more. It's definitely helped her, especially as she's not having many days off during this trip, with the fashion thing etc. But Its still better than singing most nights.

What's the point of an archive? Only to capitalise on Celine's career after she retires or dies.

I have to agree that with some songs she has perfomed so many times, it's hard to tell if she is into them and really moved, or if they just look "staged" at some point. Certain gestures, mannerisms, the final cry she's been adding to EJTAE since last summer tour... it's really hard to tell, but I do think all of them would come more genuine if she didn't do this kind of marathonian tours she has become accustumed to do. When she didn't perform that much, the performances were way better and natural than today. No one can deny she sometimes looks as if she turned the autopilot mode on many songs and just wants to move on to the next song asap (when she wanders the stage as if she was lost = bored lol)

she is an actress, she puts herself in the original mood , everytime. Maybe some nights are better than others , but she tries.

Maybe she is at a point in her career where she has to tour other planets to keep fans excited. I suggest we sign a petition for a 2018 Summer Tour on Mars!

I was thinking the same thing. Like, she never, un-recovered. lol But I like that comment too. I have not gotten to hear last night's video on YouTube yet. So it sounds like the next time is Thursday? That's odd, she's never had a show on Thursday this tour before. Except the first show in Denmark!
