That song is just past it's magic here. She never gets that's response with MHWGO here any longer. I didn't expect it to impact anything honestly. :)

That may be the case.

 

Yes I think they fixed the "nothing I fear" part also.

I prefer the raw unedited version.

I'm going to have to watch it again, but at first view it was more special live than on TV. Then again it could be because I was there and could feel the energy around.

Very cool performance. However, I will never understand why this song became so horribly successful. I mean if it was not for that last "power" third of the song, it would be lame and boring. Don't misunderstand me, it's a pretty song. I just think she has soooooooooooo many one million times better songs.

This song is so unlike all of Celine's other songs. But she doesn't sing it like it should be sung anymore, which is fine because it's more a souvenir than a song now.

 

The beginning with almost just her voice, the breathy whispering is just perfection. Her voice is so sooth, calm, melismatic. Her tone is majestic.

The second verse becomes more and more powerful and fast, and she's not whispering anymore in the second chorus. There's an acceleration throughout the whole song. Then the flutes, and the last part is just awesome. So much power, she hits those notes with such resonance and ease.

This song for me is one of the best ever. Cheesy maybe but voice wise it shows what Celine can do. I don't need her to shout her lungs out to her limits all the time, and that tone and the power in the end just makes it for me. The song just flows and and is a true perfection melody and voice wise.

 

People usually forget tone and only think about power, but tone is what makes a singer successful. There's a bunch of powerful singers out there, but no one comes close to her pure tone. That's why I'm very happy of the way she's singing her recent French songs.

Beautiful performance. Seeing the massive audience in Montreal is fantastic.

 

It's awesome that every time I'm on social media, Celine is trending!

 

Yesterday -- she was trending for wanting Rene's heartbeat tattooed on her body. And today she's trending for My Heart Will Go On!

 

The general public (not just hardcore fans) really is craving/interested in Celine again right now. :)

Seeing those cell phones shining was fantastic and creates a great atmosphere for the song. I don't know anything about singing but I can say when I like how something sounds or not. There must be something wrong with the way she places her tongue in her mouth. She sounds as if she's not opening her throat and her voice doesn't sound nice to me. The playbacks they used in the past sounded way better. Maybe it's ok in French but is it ok in English?

it was great yesterday, with little fioritures as you say...maybe she substracted them for this performance...

This ABC performance was edited so less fioritures than the real live was!

It's weird having so many people take notice, and not the crowd that usually takes notice of Celine.

They used the note from the old 2011 playback. They probably still don't understand that we don't want perfection all the time: we want truly live performances with all the flaws and imperfections :-)
