scielle Posted February 24, 2022 at 02:05 AM Posted February 24, 2022 at 02:05 AM I read what she said about Celine and I guarantee that Celine did not tell Ana that people were going to laugh because she was going to sound "so orrible". Even if Ana was a bad singer, it isn't in Celine's nature to tell someone they suck at something. Yeah, unlikely. Ana has told this story before. I think Céline’s Québécois sense of humor is just lost in her. 1 Quote
chocolatechip15 Posted February 27, 2022 at 04:40 PM Posted February 27, 2022 at 04:40 PM I seem to be remember that Ana was interviewed for a show around 2005 (A&E Biography maybe) and she said something very positive about Celine — not this story at all. Have to try to find it. Quote

Chantemoi Posted March 6, 2022 at 04:16 PM Posted March 6, 2022 at 04:16 PM Yikes. Not very funny. I’m guessing they improvised that without the help of any SNL writers and filmed it in two takes lol I’m still waiting for her “Duets” commercial to surface online. That was my favourite Céline sketch. Quote

I love that one! 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

That was my favourite Céline sketch. I laughed. To me, the Ana Gasteyer is nostalgic and funny for its ridiculousness. And Mariah is very hard to make funny, but that is one of the best attempts. Not groundbreaking humour, but I enjoyed. Quote
Chantemoi Posted March 9, 2022 at 12:11 AM Posted March 9, 2022 at 12:11 AM (edited) can you describe it It’s a commercial for Céline’s new, very self-indulgent album entitled “More Duets to Prove That I’m the Greatest Singer in the World”. She sings with Jewel (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Meatloaf (Horatio Sanz), Michael Stipe from R.E.M. (Jimmy Fallon), and Busta Rhymes (Tim Meadows). In all of those duets, she ends up out-singing each of them and then does her trademark “Céline” gestures (chest pumps, weird hand movements, etc.) The kicker for me is when she sings “a duet with her favourite duet” : Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole on “Unforgettable”. There is a music video clip of her superimposed into their music video, echoing their every line (so each phrase is sang three times). It’s hilarious and it sort of predicts her “All the Way” duet with Sinatra 😂 I just found some screen grabs… Incidentally, I found this episode on Peacock, but they cut this sketch… makes me wonder why they’d do that. Perhaps the “Unforgettable” music video or maybe because “I’m Your Angel” was playing in the beginning? 🤔 Edited March 9, 2022 at 12:18 AM by Chantemoi 2 Quote

PuraVida Posted March 12, 2022 at 10:36 PM Posted March 12, 2022 at 10:36 PM I think the NBC website has a few more sketches but there is a ton that they left out. Quote
