I miss the good old days when it didn't matter what she was singing, we were just happy to hear her SING.

I know your comment is coming from a good place but back in the day Celine was singing her own songs when touring and added very few covers.

Rumor is Celine will open with

"One More Look At You" a Barbara Streisand classic. I wanted it to be her own song, but I won't even judge considering it probably means a lot to Celine p.

I don't think it's about the 'dislike of covers', it's about the attitude. It's about the 'I wanna vomit' attitude when we're talking about a song she picked to honor her husband who just passed away.

Off the top of my head I can think of 5 covers in the FIY tour setlist.

I think she has chosen this song for a reason. Yes it is another cover. But i respect her choice and i am sure it will be a beautiful one.

I do understand people being dissapointed with another cover in the show. But again. It is her decision.

Despite recording hundreds of songs over the years, this particular song fits better than any other. For right now. That's what is important.

THIS! Everyone needs to take a chill pill and just enjoy. They didn't have to livestream this at all, but they're doing it for us, so we can send our love and support to Celine as she enters this new chapter of her life. As WE enter this new chapter of Celine's life. Let's take a minute and reflect that this isn't affecting just Celine and family, this has affected all of us in one manner or another. Let's also consider that this may only be for this one show. It might be for the next few shows. It might be for this next run. Who knows? Who cares! I'm just glad Celine is back and I wish her all the love and luck in the world tonight. She's going to need it.

 

On a side note, it would be nice to see TCOML show up at some point. Perhaps they're using it for the opening video?

I took it more to mean that they won't be live-streaming past the tribute and the members in the audience shouldn't use their devices... but that has always been the rule and we know they're much more relaxed with that rule now. I don't think we'll have any issues. We definitely won't have any problems with the audio recordings. The video might be trickier.
