I was so happy with who got through in the first semi (the stronger semi imo).

I like the San Marino song but yes he was terrible, so I changed my mind on that one and out of nowhere I found myself loving Moldova . I'd have put her through instead of Azerbaijan.

I was pleased that Greece and Bosnia Herz didn't make it - fine songs until they were ruined by hideous rapping.

Rapping never improved any song ever.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For this evening, I'd like the 10 qualifiers to be :
Bulgaria (my fav song in this years contest !)
Latvia
Lithuania
Israel
Australia
Belgium
Serbia
Ukraine
Poland
^^ that's nine !
Hmm for the 10th one, I'll decide during the show. I like Denmark, Belarus, Albania, Macedonia. So, my 10th spot will be one of those. Probably Denmark....but I'm expecting Albania & Macedonia to wow me with their vocals. Ooh it's a tough one. Anyone but Ireland. I'm cringing that we keep sending non singers - Dustin The Turkey, Jedward, Jedward, Kacey Smith, and now Nicky Byrne. Please use his performance as an opportunity to go make a cuppa , or go to the loo, or something. Anything, really. Celine Dion fans are used to powerful voices and I wouldn't want to put any of you through the suffering of listening to the limp croaky dirge that is Sun (pause) light.
What a night last night!!!
Australia's vocals were perfect last night, as well as Serbia and Latvia - glad to have them in the Finals!!!
- what happened with Norway? she did a great job but failed to qualify
- can Jamala really win this?
The running order for the Grand Final
  1. Belgium
  2. Czech Republic
  3. The Netherlands
  4. Azerbaijan
  5. Hungary
  6. Italy
  7. Israel
  8. Bulgaria
  9. Sweden
  10. Germany
  11. France
  12. Poland
  13. Australia
  14. Cyprus
  15. Serbia
  16. Lithuania
  17. Croatia
  18. Russia
  19. Spain
  20. Latvia
  21. Ukraine
  22. Malta
  23. Georgia
  24. Austria
  25. United Kingdom
  26. Armenia
Belgium will be opening the show (which is great; but damn what a place to be in the finals) - same thing with Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Italy ... too early to be performing in such Finals ... France, Poland, Australia, Serbia and Lithuania are just in the middle of the pack ... which should help them
Best placements to perform: Spain right after Russia, Latvia, Malta, UK and Armenia as last ...
I wasn't able to watch last night, only saw the recap, I must say, I didn't like most of the songs... I think Ireland got mugged! That song wasn't THAT great either, but better than many song that did made it to the finals. I think the fact the UK can't vote is working against them a lot...
It's such a perfect line-up in the final, I'm glad almost all the sh*tty songs were dumped (especially Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina).
I never expected Georgia to make the final, they stood out with their performance.
When it comes to Ukraine, I don't really want Jamala to win, her song might be a bit too much for me.
Also, I'm gonna have to take out some of the not-so-pleasant comments I made about Poland, his vocals slayed big time. :w00t:
Yes, I did :clap:
If France wins, maybe Celine can be the interval act next year :w00t:
I know, I secretly hope the winner's gonna be a country that has never won before, like Armenia or Czechia. ;)
Yeah I like Nicole song. Especially after she won and sang it in different languages. So good for someone so young.
I hope Russia wins, love his song and performance. And Lazarev is a very nice person unlike most of russian show biz.
Although would support my own Ukraine had Jamala choice not been so corruption. She didn't win the national selection. The judges didn't even try to hide that everything had already been decided. Shame on Jamala and her totally political song.
It's hard to type as I'm doing cartwheels of joy, from the result of Semi 2 ! I voted for Bulgaria ,Latvia and Lithuania.
My nine wants/predictions came true !!
I was happy enough with Georgia getting through - not my kind of song, but I don't mind it, and it was different so can see why others like it.
You know that scene in the restaurant from When Harry Met Sally ? Well, since Nicky Byrne flopped, my reaction has been like Meg Ryan ever since. My eyes are still rolling back in my head. Fabulous.
I backed some countries, weeks ago. So, I'll be voting for those I've placed bets on. They're all outsiders and not expected to get anywhere. I'd love a long shot to surprise everyone and win the whole thing !!
