Yesterday, after nearly 2 weeks without watching anything from the tour, I watched some videos in YouTube from the concerts in my parents 55" TV. Le vol d'un ange, Et je t'aime encore, the 1f&4t medley, Tous les blues... and I would have never thought I would say this, but I can't get enough of the new way she's performing MHWGO these days It's as if I rediscovered the song again with her new performance and the little changes she introduced in her singing.

 

Seriously, this tour deserves a DVD/Blu ray so much, it's the best she's done since A New Day!

To people who went to the concerts: Were there professional cameras recording one or few shows in Europe?

 

I wonder if we'll get a concert DVD

I only saw her photographer filming parts of the show.

She filmed a lot of footage, outside hotel, going to fashion show etc.

 

Wonder if we will get a sort of documentary

I attended all concerts and they were not recording it for dvd for sure I hope they will record sth in Canada cause it would be a huge waste

Hahaha no, just saved all my money during the whole year and I spent days on ticketmaster... If I hadn't kept finding VERY good seats flor regular prices I would never have bought that many. Just to make it clear, I attended all concerts in Paris only

Well I'm guessing they did use similar equipment they would have used during a dvd taping during the live stream...plus something I never knew till a few weeks back alot of times the artist doesn't have to tell us they are recording many venues pre-warn you in their terms and services when you enter the building or buy a ticket (my friend had seen this in Greece and I read it o arena's such as Manchester Arena and Rogers Center) And also my friend who knows alot about filming told me some artists don't even use cranes during dvd filmings just HD cameras. Anyways I'm not claiming to be 100% right or doubting anyone's word just wanted to share so don't shoot the messenger!

We always have this debate whether there will be a DVD or not but I don't think they have let us down on a tour in many many years.... Ok yes the last DVD was not in Paris but it was a very similar concert all in all...

 

I'm pretty sure they will film it in Montreal guys...

Well there were rumours they would record Paris for a TV broadcast sometime back in Spring but it never reappeared...

Since 1991 every French studio album that was supported by a tour was paired with a live CD. Even Sans Attendre! I see no reason why they would change the formula...

 

A live album adds to the overall reception of the studio album it is based on. It also adds to the legacy of the singer, because it is the utter proof that the studio recordings are considered important/meaningful enough to be supported with actual live performances. For all these things I think they should release a live CD/DVD of this fan-favorite tour! My guess is most buyers will be satisfied!

Because there were no tour for that, same as D'elles

Live à l'Olympia - 8 out of 12 songs from "Dion chante Plamondon" (I counted "Les uns contre les autres" and "Le monde est stone" as separate tracks)

Live à Paris - 10 out of 12 songs from "D'eux"

Au coeur du stade - 5 out of 12 songs from "S'il suffisait d'aimer"

Tournée mondiale Taking Chances - 1 out of 13 songs from "D'elles"

Une seule fois / Live 2013 - 6 out of 14 (16) songs from "Sans attendre"

 

I counted only live albums, not the entire shows and tours. Also I didn't count "A New Day... Live in Las Vegas" that included only one song from "1 fille & 4 types" which was her actual French album at the time.

If they release a live album from her last summer tour we would have 2 from "Encore un soir". Personally I wouldn't really count "Trois heures vingt"

Yes, you are right even I considered at the time that the French leg was also a promotion for D'elles. At least it should have been. But it ended with only one song from that album which I still consider a big mistake.

I think we're looking at this the wrong way...

 

With live releases, we have been spoiled as celine fans compared to fans of other artists.

 

In all honesty, the last several releases we got I did not have high confidence we would for sure get. I was surprised. So I take the same attitude toward this tour. I have no expectation of a DVD.

If no live CD/DVD is released from this current tour, then I hope Celine goes back to France next year for a huge concert like she did back in 2013 (assuming the upcoming album becomes the smash success I expect it to be). And then they release a live CD/DVD of this concert.

With the Taking Chances World Tour no actual chances were taken With just a few changes, it could have supported D'Elles tremendously without taking it to far. And it's so weird none of the other singles, Immensité and À Cause were not performed. though for À Cause they could have used the same choreography as Fade Away!

I love this setlist!

 

What is really mysterious is that the tour book did include Immensité and À Cause in the setlist.... I wonder what really happened there. Because technically the French part of the tour did support D'elles.
