I haven't seen Celine in concert since 1996 on the Falling Into You Tour. I'm super excited but at the same time I really don't like the setlist, I find it super disappointing, I don't get the odd, choices, while I applaud her for doing songs she never sings in concert, these wouldn't be the ones I'd choose. Literally just in front of the sound engineers box. I was sitting next to a guy and his wife who said they had been Celine fans for years but it was their first concert. They were kind of horrified when I said it was my 12th one! I don't think that's enough ;-)Anyway. Her voice was ON POINT tonight. Totally amazing even in really difficult songs like LAEE. I loved ordinaire. Recordings from the shoes don't do it justice. It's fabulous and the arrangement is really powerful. The set list was soooo good as we all know. God I could have died during half the songs that I never ever thought she'd sing (TLBSEPT....)However the guy next to me kept saying I don't know this song...What is this song?? He was not loving it. I think it's a very personal set list of songs that mean something to Celine and her biggest fans. However it's not the kind of show that a more casual fan would appreciate. For me, it was perfect. I am on cloud 9. i felt exactly the same! sucha personal feel to the whole show, she never left the stage, she sang songs that she'd clearly picked herself, i felt like she actually wanted to sing them...even my heart will go on and pqtme which she must be the most tired of i thought were sang sounding so fresh, i was really impressed. and yes ordinaire...i wasnt at all prepared - i remember half way through reaching for my camera and recording video coz i was just like mouth open! the orchestra overwhelms you when your there. my highlights were OrdinaireCe soir en danse !!!
