Kristinaz Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:22 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:22 PM I did comment asking for a DVD of the tour... go into the feed and like my comment so it goes to the top so TC can see!!!! Can you add in asking one for Vegas too (sorry I know I must be annoying! It's just it was my first Celine concert so I'm dying to have it!!) Quote
I Drove All Night! Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:23 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:23 PM (edited) Sorry, but it's going to take more than a random comment on Facebook to get their attention. I'm sure they'll be something released. I agree, but it's not going to hurt anything..... Edit: And there's no reason to be so negative. As fans this is one of the only ways we have to reach out to her team and get our voices heard so why wouldn't we at least try? Edited June 29, 2016 at 06:26 PM by I Drove All Night! 2 Quote

SuperLove4Celine Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:42 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:42 PM I wonder if the setlist will differ in Canada to that in Europe. It would be nice to have at least one song from "Incognito" present. 2 Quote

Javito Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:48 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:48 PM Of course Céline was really tired of doing over 300 shows a year in LV, and anyone would be...Just like she would not enjoy doing 300 shows a year in Paris either. It's just too much!!!But a little bird told me that she REALLY enjoys doing about 75 shows a year! But I can't reveal my sources obviously. Keeping your recurrent irony aside, just fyi during the first years of Vegas there were days when Céline and René didn't see each other, since René spent all day in the casinos splashing out while Céline was breaking her $ss working. Hope your little birds have more respect with info they don't know for sure. It's not a light topic 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
flutefreak Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:49 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:49 PM In recent days she is looking so happy, it is so good to see her beautiful, genuine smile back. She's starting to sound more bubbly again when she talks if that makes sense. I think this tour has been good for her. In my humble opinion, don't know if anyone else thinks the same. 7 Quote
I Drove All Night! Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:49 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 06:49 PM (edited) Good word, but still not the right one Condescending: having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority. I'd say that's pretty accurate. You have a tendency to phrase your posts in a way that make other users feel like their thoughts, ideas, plans aren't good enough or are stupid. We're all equal here. Instead of saying "Sorry, but it's going to take more than a random comment on Facebook to get their attention." you could say something like, "The chances of them seeing the post are slim, but it's worth a try!" I know I'm not the only one who feels this way when reading your posts.......... a positive attitude goes a long way Back to topic.... I have a feeling Ziggy will be dropped for the Canada shows. Which is a shame since this is the first time in history that I've enjoyed listening to it. I hated Ziggy until hearing Scott's magical version. Javito Posted June 29, 2016 at 07:03 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 07:03 PM I think the speculation about Rene "controlling" Celine and her "hating" Vegas -- or being totally sick of it and doing it only for Rene -- is silly. It really drives me crazy when fans blame Rene for everything they don't like about her career. Does Celine prefer this French tour to her standard shows in Vegas? Yes, it certainly seems so. But it doesn't follow that she hates Vegas or that Vegas was a bad decision. She's a working mother, and her # 1 priority (as you may have heard say about a trillion times) is her children. The Vegas gig allows her to do what she loves (that is, be on stage), while at the same time having stability for her children, sleeping in the same bed every night, having RC be on a sports team, etc. It's actually a pretty amazing career place to be in, which is why a ton of major stars followed Celine there.Celine made compromises in her career because motherhood was more important to her. So have a million other working mothers. It doesn't mean their husbands were controlling them. What happens here is that coincidentally in Céline's case, her husband is also her manager, so to a great extent, yes, HE controlled her career. Because logically, it was her manager But he went so far with certains decisions that Céline only said "yes" because she loved him. And of course the French concerts with the lesser-known songs and the super-engaged audiences are more satisfying -- emotionally, artistically, whatever. But Celine *wanted* an international career, wanted to be successful in English, wanted to make it big in the US (and has maintained homes in the US for more than 20 years; her kids were all born in the US). She's not going to just drop her US career, and, Vegas is a perfect way for her to keep up with that without having to travel at all - again, perfect for a working mother. Coincidentally many fans agree that since she started Vegas in 2003, her international presence in radios and everywhere started to diminish. Radios didn't give her their back before Vegas. Now they do. And her popularity in the States is on the floor level, come on... Nothing to be compared with the love that she still finds in France for example. And I disagree that she's such a bored robot in Vegas. Yes, sure, sometimes the shows get into a bit of a rut, sometimes there are audiences that are not that engaged. But sometimes it's amazing. The August 27th comeback show, for instance, was one of the most awe-inspiring and life-affirming things I've ever heard (I wasn't even there, but was just incredibly moved by what I heard online). And even the ordinary shows can be great. I saw the older "Celine" show in Vegas in 2013 and thought it was magnificent. And the audience that night gave her a standing ovation before she sang one note, danced their way through all of LCMM, RDMH, etc, sang along with BYLM, etc. It's not Paris, but she seemed to love it, and it's not exactly bored robots, either. Stepping off my soapbox now . . . Well, everyone to his own taste... Every fan says these days how GREAT are being her French shows because she looks so natural, happy, her voice is great, she's having fun and... Is it a coincidence that the most repeated comments from fans these days are the same? I don't think so. And the robot thing came up again because the difference between the Céline we see performing these days and the Céline performing in the Vegas stage it's plain obvious. 1 Quote "Hush, now... Javito Posted June 29, 2016 at 07:20 PM Posted June 29, 2016 at 07:20 PM (edited) I'm sorry, I can't have Javito spouting out his opinions and presenting them as fact. This isn't fair to Céline, René, or to the fans here. Just because one doesn't agree with a career move doesn't mean they should contribute fake stories and project their hate onto others for thirteen years. One person even pointed out he now is even going as far as speaking for Celine, as if he knows what she's thinking and feeling. This has to stop. New fans, take people's "birdies" and inside information with a grain of salt. Please. Oh now that got interesting! Drama made out of drama. Well you just don't have to believe me. Just ignore me. But in my deffence, if you think I'm not someone to trust, after sharing a new song, new photoshoot and new lyrics of an unreleased song with this forum (when I could have kept it all for me), that's up to you. I don't have any reasons for lying, but I do have reasons to voice an opinion specially (just in case you didn't realize) when it is in Céline's deffence more than anything Btw who was that "person" you say that has direct line with Céline? Why say that and hide the name now? Edit: if you still want to know where the info comes from, feel free to PM. It's up to him to tell you or not where he got all the info. That's rich coming from you. Lol Really? I'm not the one who was asked to stop posting with that sarcastic tone. It would be nice to have at least one song from "Incognito" present. I wonder too. If they follow what they did with the setlist in 2013, there is 5 songs changed between the locations. I guess they will do the same. I personally would love Jours de fievre. It's such as festive sounding song that the orchestra and horns would be real cool on it! And I hope one or two songs from DCP. Just love the album. 1 Quote

I admit I can be harsh, tiring or even annoying with my opinions, but never disrespectful You have called Celine a robot, lazy, also a money-machine that solely cares about adding concerts to her catalogue, you are always using emoticons in a sarcastic way when you reply to someone who disagrees with you, you have repeatedly said you LAUGH with the comments of people. And you have never showed respect for the threads since you are always the one to derail them. Even in this thread when you started ranting about Vegas.
