They.just.don't.care Kev. They don't care anymore about releasing new music from Céline, even if in this case we're talking about songs that are already recorded and waiting in some drawer to see the light of day... Even the classic re-releases of old albums in all sorts of collections and packages has stopped now.

 

All they care is about milking the Céline machine she is while performing and touring. And Celine seems to agree with this state of things, in the light of events and judging by how the pace of her releases and the interludes between each new album has increased since 2008

 

I acknowledge we were so spoiled in the 90's and until 2005, where she released an album every year. But we're talking about the particular TCSV.2 album here, or whatever album they could put out to give way the big amount of unreleased and rare tracks she has... but not even for this purpose have they given the least attention since then.

Mozart isn't played in the radios neither and he sold more albums in 2016 than Beyoncé or Drake, so that's not a valid reason haha

The record label and the music publisher, as usual. Unless someone negotiates to buy those rights, which is highly unlikely it has happened for each and every unreleased Celine song we're talking about here.

 

So Sony Music is the main (and probably the only) responsible for not having TCSV.2, the same way we don't have any old new song released from her except when someone kindly shares it online like happened with Is Nothing Sacred Anymore or Would I Know.

 

I was happy to share the orchestral version of Nature Boy when it was given to me and with permission, but that rarely happens, and that case wasn't probably a big deal since the song was already known and released before.

 

Other question is that Céline and Céline's management could have pushed a little bit here and make this albums with new old/unreleased songs happen, but I don't think they've ever cared the least, unfortunately (it's already a great effort for them to present and perform the new songs of each new album she releases, as if they'd think about releasing songs recorded 15, 20 or 30 years ago )
