I still can't sleep....less than a half hour til I been up for 24 hours and I'm still replaying Immortality....gosh, that's gotta be the surprise of the century.... it sounded so amazing. The high notes in Incredible were spot on.... remember the first few tv performances where she never nailed them ad libs at the beginning of the bridge? NAILED IT in vegas!!! lol I loved all the playing around with her voice... I think the freshness of the band and arrangements has inspired her to experiment around herself and play with her voice. You can hear her trying new things and playing around in nearly every song. (ALMOST to much in MHWGO but hell it was the first live concert performance of it in over a decade (2004 One Nite With Lite) so I am NOT complaining lol). Early in the show, you could hear (at least in the Colosseum, not sure how well it picked up in bootlegs) some pretty solid LOW notes. Overall I'm just happy to see her energetic and enjoying herself. You can really see it.

 

And YES, I so desperately wanted her to come back for the bridge of Unison and finish that song off. I'd gladly swap out RDMH and Unison for each other.

 

But really, I'm over the moon on a Celine high.

 

I'm going to retract my earlier opinion of preferring TCWT Show Must Go On to this one.... lol... I just needed a second listen for this one to grow on me

 

As for the covers, I bitched in the last show about too many covers....yeah we gained a few with this one, but at least it was worthy unlike the 6 or 7 snoozefest covers we managed to drop....every cover in the show now actually flows well and works with the other songs, where as before the same could not be said.

I think what I clearly heard now is the way It's all coming back to me now goes to power of love - used to sound beautiful and gave me usually the shivers, because of how Mego orchestrated and arranged that part. And now that sounds way different and pale in comparison. The brass ensemble with the trumpets and horns are missing in that part. But I still have a long way to go, since I am now at mr paganini - again thank you Tyler!

WOW.

I have always loved her, respected her, though thought she went too commercial for me here and there, especially in Vegas the first runs of A New Day. But after hearing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, my God, a new sense of adoration for the singer has originated. I have rarely heard her interpreting any song this focused, this close to her heart and voice. Beautiful artistry it is. To me, really, she has become a better singer. I'm confident that she will add another layer to her career with the new approach she -especially- has showcased last night.

 

Thank God for this new era.

She'll never skip LCMM But yeah, we should have ANDHC, IA and TTWII in full.They bring Celine's original songs back, yes, but mostly they are shortened while the covers are not. They did a beautiful thing with this acoustic idea but it's just too short.

I agree - the opening dress in the earlier song was way more classy and the green one - sorry to say - I don't like it,

But then again, with this setlist it does not have to be that classy anymore. I really like this concert!
