I like the song but it is not a song that really gives me a WOW feeling. Sometimes I am blown away the very second I listen to a new song, not this one.

who did this cdcover art? It's so awful. Was there not a better of Celine to find? This is the way she always looks when she is photographed with random people that want to go on photo with her ( fans). Then she does this with her mouth, but the face looks emotionless this way. And was it not possible to make a photo with them holding hands or something?

I've listened to it a few times now and I find it to be stunning.

 

It's the kind of sound I would love to lead her next French album, a natural extension of Sans attendre.

The style is definitely "indie".

 

However... The artwork looks soooo cheap. The photoshop is worse than amateurish and it looks like it could be an old picture. They definitely didn't do a photoshoot together.

 

I'm loving this style for a new album. A lot more natural

Love the song, very simple and beautifully sung as you'd expect from these two. For a Christmas movie that will hopefully have repeated seasonal viewings it's a lovely track.

They are saying the soundtrack will be released this autumn/winter and the movie will go to theatres on November 13th.

 

They quote an English title for the movie (Snowtime) in the press release, so if we are really lucky we may even get Celine on an English version of the song.

So I have a friend who helped translate the interview. She basically is saying that she loves Fred & doesn't know who he listened to growing up but she loves him: he's funny, loveable, has a big personality, & she loves speaking w/him-he's a great story teller and she gets joy from him. She also says being a singer is like being an actor, she needs to offer support where magic is in the story.

 

The album for the movie comes out in the Fall and the movie in November 13th. (also from the interview) Rough translation of the movie title is "The War of the Hats"

He's funny, he's touching, he's sad, he has his little accent, he has a way of delivering his words. And I love him, he's whole. Quebec films have always been a part of our family. I discovered "La Guerre des Tuques" (The battle of Tuques, *note: Tuque is Canadian stocking cap) thanks to my son Rene Charles . I had all these great re-encounters of when I went to school how I felt, how I lived all those things. Our Quebec roots. They stay with us forever. La Guerre des Tuques marked a generation. and not only mine. Now there's the twins. they are 4 years and a half. and we introduced again La Guerre des Tuques like 6 or 8 months ago. and finally my children loved it. they think it's an extraordinary movie. my kids dont know that im singing today. so it;s gonna be a surprise that i will bring home. honestly it's a great honor and if i can be part of this it's my pleasure and delight.

I had the exact same thought. The version of "Mille après mille" that they did together on the SA special is one of my favorite Celine collaborations ever. I would love for them to do more together. A whole album in the sort of folksy vibe of this new song could be really lovely.
