No, real but already knew ( I adore this version since many years).

 

I don't think that's exactly the original version, but the final note and the transition between the first chorus and "love can touch us one time" are probably what she did when she recorded the song.

 

Then they cut it and put the voice on a new instrumental track.

I thought it was a video, so i said to myself "wow, I was sure she never sang or playbacked the song, especially in this TV show where she sang MHWGO, LIVE, TTWIT, TPOL".

 

But watching this song with fake applause, I'm sure it's totally fake.

Didn't say it was a fake at any moment Carlos... But it looks like. She also performed Live (For The One I Love) in a France TV special in playback. Maybe its the same show

I'm not sure that is the actual demo. It sounds like somebody just removed the instruments with a computer programme from the soundtrack version.

 

That's exactly what I thought. If it was the real demo version it shouldn't have a music instrument at all, but we can hear some strings in some moments

Lipped or not, it would be great to have the video. Would love to see Celine "perform" this masterpiece. Without the video it's pretty much the studio version with an audience. Thanks anyway.

"Then You Look At Me" really is one of the gems of Celine's back catalogue that's sadly been soooooo neglected. I realize she (and Sony) probably wanted to distance her from performing movie soundtracks after "Titanic" but this song deserved at least one live performance. It's on the same lines as "Je Lui Dirai" for me in that it just would've worked on stage.

 

I pray beyond everything that the song gets included in the new Vegas show.

this song was actually supposed to be a single! BUT Bicentennial Man flopped so badly, that Sony decided to go for Live instead! This is why TYLM is still found on the "Live" single, but as a 'B' side...

 

but I agree with Shaun, it's a big shame she never performed this song, along with I want you to need me! she could have at least lipped all 9 new songs on the ATW special...

It is totally fake. It has that same metalic sound that you get when you tamper with the audio of something. You can hear it in that ''MHWGO'' too. All these ''acapella'' versions of songs that people post on YouTube has that same metallic thing going on. It is because they mess around with the audio to remove the instruments.

Yeah, she could do that with all her TV specials and present all (or almost all) the songs of her new albums instead of repeating over and over again the same "TPOL/BYLM/IACBTMN/MHWGO" songs each time she goes to the TV

YUP.... just be glad they didn't release All The Way as a single

 

 

ATW should have been released in July, than the new songs still could have been part of the LTAL tour and be released as real singles
