This was an interview/special on 1 fille et 4 types that was recorded around the time the album came out. This is a blooper-take out about which celine says that they'd (celine and julie) had been up for very long and they both couldn't stop laughing because they were so tired.

Very nice! I saw a violinist perform at a local concert a medley of Celine songs and it gave me chills. Thanks for posting this one!

I did this translation very quickly but I think you'll get easily how important this interview was for Céline and René and for Lise and fans at home at the time. I remember this like it was yesterday...So touching, Céline made me weep with her at the time....very disturbing to watch her like this that night...but she was also very funny too. It's Céline...

 

From 2:25 to around 5:25 :

Céline was Lise Payette's first interview of this series of shows called "Tête-à-tête". Lise says she had never interviewed or meet Céline before. When she came into the studio Lise says, Céline had love written all over her eyes.

 

Céline : It's a secret that I can't wait to deliver.

Lise : It's difficult for you to live with this secret?

C: Yes

L: You wish that everyone knew about it?

C : Yes

L: Do you want to tell us?

C : No

L : There is a contradiction there, isn't it?

C : Yes

L: Why? Because it's impossible?

C: On the next interview...maybe! ....

L : It's a rendez-vous?

C : I would love that.

L: And then you'll tell us the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

C: Ahhhh....Ah God, isn't showbusiness hard?

They both laugh

C: For sure!

L: You'll be able to come to terms with it at that moment?

C: You know..when you're in love, you can't wait to scream it on every house's roofs(French expression)

L: yeah yeah

C: ...it's hard to keep it to yourself

L: yes but why to you have to keep this a secret? Not for the career?

C: Yes

L: Yes? Only for the carreer?

C: ..because it's the only thing I have.

L: And it's the thing you need to protect?

C: Yes

 

Lise looking back: The people in my team told me that René during Céline's interview was crying in the control room. So for him too, it was an important moment too.

 

L: So..I'm gone go down in history as the one who made Céline Dion weep for one hour as it appears.

C: Forgive me, it's too much.

L: But it seems to do you good.

C: Sure, it's like a therapy you know. It's dull sometimes..you say "yes my cd will come out on October 29th and than I will be there in concert on the 23th and the 24th. Here to be able....I'm finding out more about myself as we talk.

L: When we talk about it?

C: Yes and those tears have been building up from a while.

L: It's all you've kept inside?

C: ...and I think it's important.

C: It makes no sense now, René is going to say you've cried too much, it make no sense

L: Now I don't want to worry, I need to know if it does you good?

C: I'm sorry. Absolutely! It did me good, lots lots of good. Lots of tissues, lots of good.

L: (laughing)

 

Lise looking back: My choice was not to let her give it away(her secret). To prevent her from going all the way with this confidence she so wanted to tell. She was feeling relatively secure with me and...I chose to let her keep her secret, voluntarily saying to myself it wasn't the moment to do that..that television didn't deserve to have a secret like this one....that they could choose for themselves what they wanted to do with this.

 

It's followed with images of Céline's announcement at Métropolis of René being the colour of her love...

Kinda, but not really. The contestants sang songs and she kinda added a line here and there.... she hardly even sang one line, but it's the closest thing we have to a performance of Tell Him.

LOL @ Céline's face at 0:18- 20. This cracked me up everyyy time at the movie!

 

I also think, Look at all the music and happiness Céline brought to Rene's life. All the crazy amazing things he would never have gotten to do at law school haha. You can almost see it on his face at the end (it fades out too soon)

After he stopped managing Ginette Reno he decided to quit show biz and go back to school and he wanted to go to law school...but little Celine came along at just the right time to keep him in show biz.
