Thomas Jolly (Artistic Director of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2024 Summer Olympics) was a guest of the French Institute in Athens (29/01/2025). During the Q&A, he talks about Celine. And they show exclusive behind-the-scenes footage during Celine's performance of "Hymne A L'Amour". At the end of the event, they show Celine's whole performance on the big screen.

Well...not 4K, not HD...and wrong ratio !

But the good thing is the sound is stereo ! Good to heat those two live versions !

Thank you for sharing! It’s crazy to think that the improvisation Celine did at the end is the only live version that we have of ‘Declaration of Love’.

Also, was the 2011 Vegas rehearsal live? I don’t remember.

Don't think it's been confirmed but kinda sounds lipped to me. Although some parts sound natural... The transition into LCMM which is obviously live is a bit off to me, as if there is a shift in how she sounds.

This video about Divas Live keeps popping up in my feed. Sorry if this has been discussed to death already on here.

 

I agree with everything the guy in the video is saying about the Celine/Aretha moment. To me, that moment in the show when Celine stepped up to have a vocal battle with Aretha was one of the greatest moments of Celine's entire career. Just think about that Divas Live show without that moment. If Aretha was saying "Help lift me!" and Celine never stepped out. The show would have just ended and that would have been it. It still would have been a good show. But when Celine stepped out it was a OMG!!! moment! She came out and matched Aretha note for note and Aretha was LOVING it! Aretha respects vocalists with confidence. And Celine showed that night that she was not afraid of anything.

 

Mariah on the other hand...I just think it's a shame how she responded. And what she wrote in her book was really disgusting. I still respect Mariah as an artist and her place in music history. But...eek.

I'm having the same issue, although I can see some but not others. I'm using safari if that makes a difference. I need to try Chrome or something cuz I can't post in the random thread.

Were there ever strings audible throughout the first verse of The Reason live in any other performance besides this one from Bangkok? The majority of the concert is available on this channel too.

Is anyone here an expert on YouTube? I’m wondering how some people can upload, for example, I'm Alive from Divas Live 2002 multiple times without issues, while mine gets blocked immediately?

 

 

when you're uploading and receives the message that the content is blocked, you have the option to open a dispute for the content...

these people does this... and for some reason it works...

 

but there's always the risk of loosing it, or worse, after the upload is aproved, you receive a strike from youtube... and with 3 strikes, your channel is lost forever (besides the possibility of a court case).

 

I never tried to do this method, cause my channel has more than 10 years, and some videos I worked hard for... I don't wanna risk loosing all of it...
