Where is this performance of 'At Last' from? I think i haven't seen it before

 

I think that, besides “At Last” and “Sous Le Vent”, she also did “Summertime” that night. Too bad there’s no video.

 

I think I did read this very recently here in the forum, I just can’t remember the exact thread but other songs were also listed as performed that night.

Usually I judge her performances of The Power Of Love only by the last note... but this one here, is SO perfect in every part of the whole song... the nuances, the dinamics... and the last note, though not sustained, is clear and resonant

Closest to the original recording besides the ending! Can someone explain the look or styling they were going for during that era? I never got it…all I could think is that they wanted her to look more mature so they cut her hair and she went from a sexy era to a matronly one because of the announcement of her marrying Rene.

This was her worst look era IMO along with 2003 Las Vegas debut again after a great era in 2002, GBTSW video probably one of her best looks of all time.

We know she’s never been afraid of looking “old” or unattractive since, for her, the look seems to be about telling a story or “borrowing a character”, as she described it, not about flaunting her own looks.

I’m not completely sure about that. Back in the day, Sony used to work on Celine’s career very carefully, paying lots of attention to every single detail. For me, her look was definitely a key part of the strategy.

On that TPOL performance it was flawless until the end. Still she tried sustaining that D5. Much better than the other appearance on the same show lol. though as far as studio arrangements I think the closest is Arsennio Hall, especially for the last note, plus I think she hits the D5 on "ready to learn".

they got the dates wrong. They say 25th anniversary on instagram but its 27 years for Memphis. Did they mean All the Way?
