Is there any chance that the big note in “All by Myself” was actually lipped on August 27th 2015? It certainly looks lipped. It may have been a pre-recorded track that she only used once like “I Drove All Night” in 2018. I’m beginning to doubt that it was actually live.

Doubt it. It would be a huge waste of money to record a track and only use it once. It does kinda look like she's lipping, though. What doesn't make sense to me either is why she would even bother to make a new track if there was already one that sounded perfectly fine and has worked well for years. There just wasn't any reason for her to make a new track, and knowing her, she probably didn't even want to.

 

As for IDAN, I don't think that was lipped either. She performed it on June 8th and then ditched it on June 9th. That doesn't make any sense, considering there was nothing wrong with the it, and it's one of her more popular songs among the general audience. If it were a track, she would have kept it as she did with FIY and TLYM. My guess is that she was most likely planning to sing the song live since she came back after her surgery, but instead had to resort to the older track cause, honestly her voice really wasn't in that good of shape. But none of this explains why she didn't sing it again the night after.

On the first night “I Surrender” was definitely lipped. Also, is it true that Céline sang IS, WDMHBN and BYLM live on November 17th 2015? Does anyone have any footage? I know BYLM was live for sure.

Come on guys, everything shows that the ABM note was lipped. It sounds fake, also each of her moves shows how fake it was. There's no way she can move like that without any effect on the sound. She just wouldn't sing it this way live. And she did that last move because she thought it was the other pre-recording....

And, once again, it sounds fake. She probably didn't even record it (all) in the studio. The note was probably extended at some place, mixed and blended with other recordings.

Rene watching her doesn't mean sh*t, and yeah, they probably dumped this pre-recording right away, because they didn't like it. It's super shouty, throaty (so even more polished/fake by post-treatment in the studio). And they probably opted for the one with more ad-libs in the end, because it's more dramatic...

We don't know for sure. Only if we hear that note again. And I remember her vocals were sooooo STRONG that night and mostly LIVE. Even before the comeback in Vegas. Her performance with Andrea Bocelli singing 'The Prayer', her voice was so strong and powerful.

It wasn’t a private event, it was a regular Vegas show. But I saw a clip of BYLM and it was live.

It just sounds fake. Sometimes I feel like people don't have the same quality of hearing as others do. But it's fake. No one can hit a note like that (and I don't even think it's that good). It sounds different than the rest that sounds live. So many movements that would be heard in the sound. And that note is so demanding that she just wouldn't be moving like that or have that face. Just compare it with the last note which is live or other times she sang it live. Even the album version sounds way more natural.

And no, it's not because we won't hear it again that it has to be considered live. That was the excuse people gave about MHWGO at the Billboard Music Award 2017 until someone much later found that the same track was used elsewhere, once...
