It was announced Monday (April 10) that the 47-year-old singer that her Butterfly MC Records is teaming up with Epic Records. Terms of the partnership have not been disclosed, but it will include a new album to come "later this year."

 

I think David Foster would be the best person in the world to harmonize and produce their vocals if they do a song Together.

I hadn't thought of that! I'm not a Mariah fan but c'mon, it could be the duet we had been waiting for years.

 

If it's not Mariah, then please let it be Adele / Sia.

 

With Mariah's current (and my assumption, permanent) vocal condition, it would be a huge let down. It would not be the duet that should have been. It wouldn't even reach the level of lackluster. It would just be bad.

Remember that "collaborate" doesn't necessarily means duet. A major star could also be writing/producing for her.

I think he has a column in the Sun. And apparently doing showbiz / gossip pieces for Lorraine. Talking up anything that'll move copies.

Either way, the Sun is trash. Huge circulation, sure, but trash. I wish Celine would stay the heck away from it!

Thank you. Yeah I don't understand why she's doing an interview with The Sun.

She's the one deciding alone whom she gives an interview to now (she said so in an interview last fall, nothing to do with Aldo leaving)..

Makes me wonder if she has anyone advising her on whom to talk to and who not.

Or maybe it's strategic since The Sun has a lot of readers and they can reach more people?

 

But being Céline, I'd be afraid that they would add their own stuff to the interview.

 

Hoping the interview is on TV so we can believe what we are hearing and not second guessing everything.

I so agree. It sounds like nothing good to me. What I dislike most is her attitude. She acts like she's the queen of the whole world and she blames everybody but herself when something doesn't work. That's why I just can't get into her music, not good for me.

Her old music is everything. It just astounds me, after all of the conversations we've had on here about the deterioration of this woman's voice, that some of the people here would still want this to happen. It just really baffles me.

The Butterfly album is a masterpiece! She's a lyricist at heart on this album, especially on The Roof and Breakdown. I have no idea how she puts the word nonchalant into a chorus and it works so well and the layers of vocals that is seemlessly co-produced by her as well. But vocally now? A duet? Yeah I'd pass on that lol
