CelinesDIVO5 Posted April 15, 2017 at 06:54 PM Posted April 15, 2017 at 06:54 PM (edited) I hadn't thought of that! I'm not a Mariah fan but c'mon, it could be the duet we had been waiting for years. If it's not Mariah, then please let it be Adele / Sia. With Mariah's current (and my assumption, permanent) vocal condition, it would be a huge let down. It would not be the duet that should have been. It wouldn't even reach the level of lackluster. It would just be bad. angelil78 Posted April 15, 2017 at 10:19 PM Posted April 15, 2017 at 10:19 PM (edited) Dan is talking about something Big exclusive being revealed and that she will she will be taking over his Bizarre column in The Sun on Thursday. When I read " will be taking over" I think it's Céline writing the column. Now I can't see that happen lol but guess he's only focusing on her. Giving an interview to The Sun is weird. Oh and I thought it was a tv show? ITV Lorraine? I'm a bit confused here Edited April 15, 2017 at 10:23 PM by angelil78 Quote

Melanieletitia Posted April 15, 2017 at 11:15 PM Posted April 15, 2017 at 11:15 PM I mean...I know art is subjective...but it sounds like Tarzan and Jane doing the nasty. Throat singing is a cultural tradition of the Inuit people and an important part of their heratige. Originally it was more of a game played between two women. The sounds were often meant to imitate sounds found in nature and in their daily life. Quote
Nmj Posted April 15, 2017 at 11:22 PM Posted April 15, 2017 at 11:22 PM I'm not a fan of Mariah, but I wouldn't mind a duet!! Its something the world has wanted since 1997! I'd prefer a duet with Christina Agularia tho. I'm scared if it ends up being Adele than we will have a whole album of that granny bed room voice again and that would be a mistake in my opinion. I'm ready for the pureness of Celine again. 4 Quote

Yeah I don't understand why she's doing an interview with The Sun. She's the one deciding alone whom she gives an interview to now (she said so in an interview last fall, nothing to do with Aldo leaving).. Makes me wonder if she has anyone advising her on whom to talk to and who not. Or maybe it's strategic since The Sun has a lot of readers and they can reach more people? But being Céline, I'd be afraid that they would add their own stuff to the interview. Hoping the interview is on TV so we can believe what we are hearing and not second guessing everything. Quote

CelinesDIVO5 Posted April 16, 2017 at 01:38 AM Posted April 16, 2017 at 01:38 AM But who the hell wants it now?? Why does anyone think Celine and Mariah would be great? Mariah's voice is GONE. Has been for a long time. "Everyone wanted it in the 90s." Well, it's not the 90s anymore. It's not worth a laughing stock of a duet, just to gain a little bit of nostalgia. Mariah has not taken care of herself. Their voices are no longer a match for each other. 7 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

She acts like she's the queen of the whole world and she blames everybody but herself when something doesn't work. That's why I just can't get into her music, not good for me. 3 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

Her old music is everything. It just astounds me, after all of the conversations we've had on here about the deterioration of this woman's voice, that some of the people here would still want this to happen. It just really baffles me. 4 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

stone Posted April 16, 2017 at 03:39 AM Posted April 16, 2017 at 03:39 AM The Butterfly album is a masterpiece! She's a lyricist at heart on this album, especially on The Roof and Breakdown. I have no idea how she puts the word nonchalant into a chorus and it works so well and the layers of vocals that is seemlessly co-produced by her as well. But vocally now? A duet? Yeah I'd pass on that lol 2 Quote
