To me the anticlimax was the setlist. She getting sick was just unlucky, they didn't plan that. The setlist however.

this tour does look good visually but the setlist with only three new songs... and opening with iacbtmn is also quite a anticlimax. I really really hope the english setlist has some surprises in store..

And her biggest hit Ashes has to be there as well.

I can only speak for myself but when I heard "It's all coming back it's all coming back to be now" I near lost my mind and so did everyone else. People jumped from their seats screaming with excitement.

I'm sorry to ruin the party, but when I heard her opening the first show of this Tour named COURAGE

99.9% lipping IACMBTMN I stayed like...

 

It's so unprofessional thing to do for an artist of her caliber. Those lippings are upsetting me

time after time no matter how hard I try to ignore it (While I understand why!).

I don't want to imagine myself being in her show and then will come those lipped songs.

 

From one side she can't hit those hard notes

no probelms at all, no one asking that, but on the other side they are not even trying to show

they try to find solutions for this, another arrangement, another something, but please no lipping.

It getting so embrashing when people clapping her for pure lipping.

 

I'm sure she can do better than this, and work her way, once they will bother to create new arragment

for this amazing song. And if not? Then please, put all the complicated songs aside for good.

She is still not in the age of retirement, I'm upset no one stopping her from doing this, the lippings making

her look like a joke. I hope when she will be at her 60's there won't be all this lipping. Just Imagine that.

 

What my friend told me when watching one of her recent shows?

 

"Something feels odd, she suddenly have a much younger voice"

Okay so lower it by 2 keys so she can sing it consistently and then the audience is disappointed cause its way lower and sounds so different to the studio version? And then regardless of key, she’d be singing over 20+ songs 100% live every show for 123 shows... THATS when she’d die vocally. I doubt you all realise the lipping and the concert pacing is the only thing that saves artists from damaging themselves extremely

When you pay 200+ for a ticket you pay for what ? For a live performance. You can have the dvd for less and see her better. When you don’t sing live you don’t do concert specially at this price.

But seeing her live and hearing her live has a huge difference than watching her in DVD. Also the sound is much better. I don’t know why but it sounds so so much better and I was amazed by that when i finally saw her live last year. It really sounds different from the one we’re watching on YouTube fancams.. her voice is much thicker, louder, consistent and all so it’s much better in live.

 

She doesn’t lipped all the songs in the setlist lol

 

And for the price if it’s expensive the production should be huge.. ala A New Day/TCWT.. and for this new tour Courage.. there’s an improvement with the sounds.. they put an effects now which is better so her voice will not sound dry. And when they released the proshots of her picked performances from this tour. You can hear that the sound quality is improved and sounded much better.. it doesn’t sound distorted (like they showed back in her summer tours before), or autotuned (it sounded natural).. it sounded like it was in a new day era again..

I do get your issue with lipping I do, I share it. But somehow it seems inevitable for some songs to be lipped so i have come to accept it and keeping fingers crossed she won't be publicly exposed and shamed for doing so.

 

She has been lipping openers before: TPOL, and it's a GREAT opener.

 

I think it's fun that they changed up the opener a bit!

 

The only "sad" part about the opening to me, is that they preview Unsion, and then it os nowhere to be found in the setlist, but a bunch of unnesssary new covers are instead.

 

EDIT: oops yes, album thread! I can't wait to hear Play Me Like A Love Song!! That clip screamed QUALITAAAAYYY. And soon it's here.
