Céline on Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Not necessarily. When's the last time The Who, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, Springsteen had a "fresh and recent hit"? Hasn't stopped them from playing. Legendary status works just as well, and she certainly has that. I just don't think it's her kind of show / crowd. She's not rock-n-roll enough, or at least not widely considered as such (though of course we here know very well she very well is / can be!)

 

Yea and also prince wasn't in the charts at all when he did his!

 

But for now I still find this a dreamer topic.... It would be amazing...

The Super Bowl's predominately male and younger viewers AND Celine Dion aren't exactly a match in sports TV heaven so it'll never happen.

 

The Super Bowl is too concerned with higher ratings and unfortunately Celine isn't hip or cool anymore to attract a high audience for the half time show. And before anybody says "but Paul McCartney, the Who, Tom Petty, Springsteen and the Rolling Stones have done it." Just remember that rock music is the preferred music by sports fans. Celine being an older pop ballad diva will not be met with enthusiasm by sports fans. Even Madonna had to resort to bringing in younger singers.

 

The Super Bowl doesn't want Celine. But that's ok because Celine doesn't need the Super Bowl either. Just saying.

Well, I don't watch this charade mostly because I think the NFL is ridiculous (and also because #ImWithKap), but I'm genuinely surprised by the number of social media reactions saying Celine should do it.

(I doubt that'll happen, unless perhaps it's a joint show with another act, but nice to see people bring it up nonetheless.)

Homestly I'd just end up screaming about the fact she would even probably be playbacking LCMM due to it being so high profile.

Overall this year's halftime show sucked... One big part I was disappointed was that Maroon 5 was going to sing SWEET VICTORY from SpongeBob. Now I believe that Celine should do a rendition!!!

For the stage, they should redo the old Heart-shaped stage (from the LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE Tour) and updated... Larger stage for the full band and orchestra with the choir.

That s the way it is and i am alive with a whole bunch of attractive dancers appear, then a quick medley of bylm,tpol and iacbtmn,

Ashes with surpriseguests both the original dancer and ryan reynolds comes on stage as well, showing his best deadpool dancemoves;) the song ends - lights go out...then after a short while go on again ..mist is filling the field and then suddenly followed by the bow of the titanic reconstructed, emerging from the mist as a giant setpiece where she does the last refrain of mhwgo in a nice white gown accompanied by a 31 piece orchestra playing a special amazing orchestral version of the song
