'Naked' is possibly one of the best songs of her career

I so agree with the "One Heart" album, I play it a lot in my car. It's just about my best album. Naked, Reveal...... The whole album is great, for me that is. Towards the end, I think the song is "I knew you" something or other, that is my favourite on the album. Sorry, the full name of the song has slipped my mind for the moment.

Yes, it is a stunning song. I wonder why Celine doesn't add it to her Vegas set list. The orchestra music in that song is out of this world. Would be beautiful for her musicians? Good luck with your driving lessons, you will be fine.

I would whole heartedly have to disagree. Maybe it's not of the grandiose stature of a Celine Dion album that we are used to, but it's certainly the most cohesive, and flows from start to finish through songs that all sound like they belong together. It's a light, fresh and fun album. It's great for driving, cleaning your home, enjoying a sunny day. It's actually quite good for some easy listening without having to think too hard about what's behind the lyrics all while still having good meaning at face value.

In my opinion, "One Heart" the most balanced English album to me. Songs like "Stand by Your Side," "In His Touch," "Forget Me Not," "I Know What Love Is," "Je t'aime encore," and the two songs from ANDHC are soft songs in the album, different from the typical ballads that Celine has, and are easy to connect with. Songs like "I Drove All Night," "Love is All We Need," "Faith," "One Heart," "Coulda Woulda Shoulda," "Naked," and "Reveal" are catchy and dance-worthy. Earlier today, I was playing through the album and thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

"Naked" is without a doubt one of the most underrated songs of Celine's English career of all-time. The song should have been a single from "One Heart." I could have easily seen England release a pair of CD-singles to accompany the song's release to radio:

Furthermore, at the time, the song would have been an amazing addition to "A New Day..." It could have also been fantastic during the "Taking Chances World Tour." I do hope this song, as well as many of the other underrated songs from "One Heart" (i.e. "Reveal," "I Know What Love Is," "In His Touch," "Faith," "Stand By Your Side"), will get some recognition in the future.

I totally disagree with the the title of the topic, but I think Naked is OK. It doesn't thrill, nor bore me, it's just an ok track, and a nice addition to the diversity of her repertoire.

 

But I Know What Love Is is an absolute gem! It gets me everytime. I think One Heart is a good album, except for the title song, which I really can't stand, and the slow version of Sorry For Love. My favourites are: Faith, In His Touch, Stand By Your Side (so touching and uplifting!), IKWLI and Je T'aime Encore. In other words: the ballads... The up tempo songs from ANDHC are more to my liking.

I don't know that I think it's one of the best songs of her entire career, but you can't beat that high note as you go from the refrain to the last chorus. Gets me every time.

Since this is a "Naked" topic and not a "One Heart" topic, I will try to refrain from discussing the entire album. What I will say, though, is that "One Heart" showed Celine TRULY taking chances far more than she ever did with "Taking Chances" or "Loved Me Back To Life." The songs "Love Is All We Need," "Reveal," "Je t'aime encore," "Naked" and "In His Touch" are prime examples of her stepping outside her comfort zone when it comes to her English recordings.

This song is just ok. The lyrics are ok, the music is ok, the voice is ok, the B5 note everyone keeps on talking about has nothing special, especially considering the way she hit it. Plus you can hear the autotune. It could be a One Direction song. I love listening to 1D but it's nothing exceptional.

 

At the same time, I think that Where Is The Love is one of Celine's greatest gem (despite the throaty parts at some points). The mysterious lyrics, her emotional voice in it. So I guess, Naked is just not the song for me lol.

It is strange for me that US does'nt seem to like Celine, i wonder why? Was there something that triggered that off, or is her music just to decent, and Celine herself to decent, compared to all the other rubbish and filth that is out there, and millions of people prefer that junk. That goes world wide too, the rubbish and disgusting stuff that is being played.
