Annie Horth Stepping Down As Céline's Stylist

Yeah I agree with all of you! Maybe Annie is just leaving to work on other projects. She has been tweeting some pics lately of this celebrity, so maybe she's styling him now, I don't know lol.

I feel like a lot of people are blowing this out of proportion and saying that there's a deeper meaning behind all of this...that may be true, but I don't think she would announce it the day after Rene did if that were the case. She was probably thinking about this for a long time and Celine and Rene most likely knew and because a new change was announced yesterday (Rene's retirement) then they thought it would be a good time to announce Annie's leaving.

Et je t'aime encore, comme dans les chansons banales...

Even Francine Chaloult (Céline & René's own press person) confirmed that the split was "stormy"... but she said it will get solved.

She said Annie is not always easy (to work with) and that she is a lot more intense than Céline.

Interesting... (Souce : La Presse)

Celine has learned a lot from Annie the last 7 years, lets hope she doesn't ruin her so chic look like we have seen in the last few years.

Evidently thay had a fight, otherwise....she would be in Celine's team, but about what??? "You should wear this and not that" BUM! you are fired? Mmmm gotta be something deeper than that, how "intense" can a person be regarding clothing choices??? Does not make sense!!

The People dress (The pink Lanvin) was pretty similiar to the Muppest movie, so I don't know how "bad" that choice was...considering the first Lanavin was chosen by Annie...Celine is following Annie's steps but for the moment alone...she is doing some copycat on her own, let's see how much longer that can hold.

Something fishy happened here...maybe we'll never know!

Annie had stated in another article that her leaving was coming from further up the line.

that was the worst outfit of history...

Remember fans, the outfit did not make the Celine we know. Celine could go out on stage in rags and people would still come to her shows. It's the voice, humbleness, honesty, etc. that makes Celine who she is today. I love her and always will.

does not change the fact that some outfits were truly ugly....i'm not into fashion, but i have eyes...i prefer beautiful outfits. If she would have bad clothes every time , i don't think it would be good for her career, that's how the world goes, i don't make the rules. :)

Except she looked like she got dressed in the dark from 1994-1998 and this was when she was at her peak! Bad outfits didn't ruin her then. Those jump suits with the camel toe...omg.

Celine doesn't "need" Annie. I agree she needs a stylist but thousands of ppl would jump at the opportunity to dress Celine! Maybe this will bring some freshness to her wardrobe and we will finally see less blazers and more vibrant colored dresses versus the gold she always had Celine wearing.

Thanks , I haven't seen this before! Great job!!

She mentioned Zhane making a look book for her. Frida could do that! She could just format the Celinsh Closet and get it printed. However , it may seem creepy coming from a fan lol. But, maybe it wouldn't be creepy, given how much she likes fashion.

Maybe the straw that broke the camel's back was the dress choice for "The Voice"? To me, Celine didn't look comfortable in it.

She looked much more comfortable in the white one she wore with Tessanne. IDK just throwing it out there??? :)

Can anyone translate this to English please

Keep in mind the following is from Google translate, so I willing to bet some of the nuance is lost. But, it will at least provide a solid understanding and overview. After reading the article, it is not so nice about Celine (well, at least in that it called the People magazine shoot a social media joke and then pointed to her 2003 blonde hair and the photo shoot as signs of needing Annie Horth). I think Celine has an excellent understanding of fashion and style, but this is an article about Annie Horth and an exit, so it isn't surprising it took a more tabloid approach to the story.

Article:

Divorce between Celine and her stylist

"This may seem trivial and futile as new, but it is not, especially in the parallel universe where superstars public image works with a maniacal care. Celine Dion has ended his long association with stylist Annie Horth Quebec, which has transformed the pop singer fashion icon.

Moreover, since this work out, diva Charlemagne posed for People magazine perched on a giant replica of the statue of David by Michelangelo, built in the middle of the hotel-casino Caesars Palace, Las Vegas . This photo, from a taste for dubious was the laughing stock on social media.

I doubt greatly Annie Horth, papesse chic and elegance, has found that graceful and distinguished cliché. The stylist has even publicly dissociated on Twitter.

Annie Horth designs the looks of Celine Dion since 2007. During these seven years, the Quebec star has hardly made any dress gaffe. Molded in Lanvin dresses and perched on vertiginous heels, Celine has never been so sophisticated and sexy on stage. All thanks to the magic touch of Annie Horth. And some valuable contacts in the most prestigious fashion houses in the world, of course.

So what does it really have happened to dissolve this winning partnership? Difficult to determine accurately. It seems, however, that this separation was stormy.

After dodging questions repeatedly, the publicist Celine Dion in Montreal, Francine Chaloult, finally said: "It is something very personal. It will get better. Celine and Annie were a few years without working together. It is not easy, Annie. She did extraordinary things for Celine masterpieces. But it is true that Annie is not sitting all the time. It is quite a bit more intense than Celine. "

Annie Horth and Celine Dion began their collaboration in the mid-90s, but the stylist was discarded in 2000 with the arrival of the team from Cirque du Soleil in the entourage of the singer. René Angélil returned Annie Horth in the bodyguard of Celine in 2007 to cool the costumes A New Day in Las Vegas.

Joined yesterday, Annie Horth emphasized the "private nature" of this divorce.

"I have great respect and admiration for René and Céline. It is of course always creatively. I enjoyed a great freedom for my work as a stylist. It is at other levels that the decision is taken. I had the chance to do an exceptional job and live a professional and friendly relationship with two huge and unique people. And I am proud of the work I did for the evolution of the image of Céline in recent years, "said Annie Horth.

Quebec stylist, who has also Julie Snyder and Véronic DiCaire among its clients, has more than choosing designer clothes for Celine Dion. It is satisfied that the popstar shines in all its glory everywhere, especially on a red carpet during a TV interview on stages around the world. Jennifer Lopez has also sought the services of Annie Horth, who declined the invitation, however, devoting most of his time at Céline.

To replace Annie Horth from the diva? Impossible to know. Camp Céline Dion had no answer for us yesterday.

In the documentary Céline, three boys and a new show, which aired in particular on the Oprah Winfrey channel, we saw Annie Horth in fitting sessions rather funny with Celine Dion. The two women got along very well.

Extravagant stage costumes Céline Dion has often been ridiculed. But not those under the supervision of Annie Horth, which kept the wardrobe simple and elegant singer.

Now, if Celine Dion points to a red carpet short hair and peroxide, as in 2003, or if it is love in the arms of a plaster statue, we know that he is sorely lacking an Annie Horth in his circle advisors.

maybe it comes down to money , maybe she was asking for a very big salary.....not to say that she hasn.t done a great job, but at the end of the day, she is not the one with the golden vocal chords. but I hope for the best, for Annie . Celine , the fashion world and us... :giggle: It can be for an awful lot of different reasons. Puople magazine photos may have gained criticism but i think it was funny. And i think a lot of Celine's fan understood the joke.

I think the picture in the People magazine was wonderful. Celine looked so elegant, and I even think that the dress looked perfect. It looked very much like something a Greek goddess would wear (from what I've always seen in books etc anyway). It was my favorite picture of the four who were featured. I certainly don't know why anyone wouldn't like it. I like the way Celine was posed on the statue, and even the fact that she was barefoot. It was unique, and I thought that Celine "the star" was shining beautifully.

Say it ain't so! Not Annie! She made Celine the image that she carries today: elegant, sexy, and classy. I will miss her working for Celine. And as for being pushy, some of Celine's best work shines bright because of these pushy people. Celine is not a visionary, these people are the ones that give their all to round out the package. I agree "Alex_Incognito". Annie did a lot for Celine. I do believe that thru time Celine developed into a mature woman (becoming a mom does that to most), and she slowly gained wisdom from her experience with Annie. Plus, wisdom does come with age. Perhaps Annie and Celine both like each other /appreciate each other for what each one has done for one another's career, but it was just time to move on. Annie did a lot for Celine, but I'm sure that being the stylist for Celine did wonders for her as well.

Right now I'm not crazy about the fact that she's no longer going to be around. She will be missed, but I'll try and be positive about what is to come. Change can be a good thing, especially if the timing is "right".
