I hope your special friend and you spend some time together today/very soon.

It will be very soon, I hope. He promised because he was really very busy at work yesterday. He surprised me with a great birthday present, a Swarovski crystal, butterfly-shaped, purple colour.

No we didn't stay at the anniversary party, we had to find the surprise 40th. We were 45 minutes late but had a blast at the party.

That's always fun! I was at a wedding last weekend (in Sedona, Arizona . . . .soooo beautiful!) .. . and my friend and I were dancing like crazy to all the cheesy classics like Dancing Queen and I Will Survive. We were kind of the only ones dancing (it was a small destination wedding) .. and one of other guests said, "I want what [alcohol] they had!" But I'd only had a sip of champagne. . I just go nuts when they turn on the dance music. No Celine, alas, but still a wonderful time.

I just dumped my DVR for a Tivo, got a fantastic deal on it. I'll save more in the long run.

I believe by new conversation he means that they wouldn't be able to send a PM to someone (they would be the ones sending the first PM) until they had a certain number of of posts.

Thank you Vic and Del for the clarification. Oi it's gonna be a heat wave today. And I am so mad because someone assigned me a roll on their FB page without asking me if I wanted it. When I pointed it out, she's all, "well fine I won't ask you for any help with anything ever again cuz you're just too impatient." Now, I am a person wo takes on/internalizes guilt even when I did nothing wrong but not "this time." I am not in the wrong for this.

I'm curious as to whether anyone here was active on alt.music.celine-dion, back in the day before newsgroups died. I was a lurker only in that group (never posted), but it was a great source of information in the late '90s, and you can still find the posts archived in google groups.
