We all know that Adele is a huge Céline Dion fan. Her new album won't be sad/brokenheart themed as 21 were. She's happy now, with a lovely child and a boyfriend.

Also, she always cover a favorite song on her albuns. On "19" we had "Make You Feel My Love" (original by Bob Dylan) and in "21", "Love Song" (original by The Cure)

What do you think about it? I'd love to hear it on Adele's voice. :)

P.S.: Adele's new album doesn't have an official release date but new material is expected by october.

This could quite possibly be for a different artist he works for.

It's the only one that reached number 1...and generally when people hear the title of the song, they associate it with Celine.

Well that may be the case in the US, but in the UK & Europe the original Jennifer Rush version is much more popular.

Is it just me, or can Adele not go as high as Celine? So I doubt it's gonna be hers. I haven't heard Jennifer Rush's, but it may be hers :)

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

Which is wrong. She might have sung it well and eventually made it into a successful single but the song is just not hers.

True! I haven't really heard Adele's upper range!
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

In Asia, at least in Indonesia the song associate with Celine, sometime people mistaken Jenifer cover the song after Celine's.

That's probably because she doesn't have one.

Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

I like Adele a lot. She's got this lower granier range then celine does, so it gives something to certain songs that Celine can't :)

Even though it's a cover I still think it's Celine's!

I like Adele very much so maybe it's a step toward a duet between them! ?? It would be an interesting duet! Just as long as Celine doesn't try to sound to much like Adele!

You know the other day- I was thinking of that! They could have a harmony situation going on- Celine high and Adele low. It could sound amazing!

Yes the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song is another classic, which was covered by a female singer in late 2012 and topped the uk charts. I think Adele (and Celine obviously) deserves fresh material not a cover of a well known song.

If it is the Jennifer Rush track I wonder how long it will be before Adele has to start using playback during live performances, its quite tough on the vocal cords after all.

For me TPOL was always a Jennifer Rush song. A typical 80s overproduced power ballad.

I just don't really like her voice in general.

I just can't get into Jennifer's TPOL. Much prefer Celine's.

This topic will end up a Celine vs. Jennifer debate instead of Adele covering it! :giggle:

I live in the US, and I didn't even know TPOL was a cover song until probably last year. I have never heard the Jennifer Rush version, but then again, Jennifer Rush is not as popular in America as she is in the UK and in Europe. I love music; I listen to a lot of music, from around the world in several different languages, and I do not think I own a single Jennifer Rush song.

TPOL, at least in the US, is pretty much only associated with Celine. So, when people say it is wrong to consider the song hers, I think people should just keep cultural differences in mind. Honestly, in the US, TPOL is Celine Dion's song. Based on the posts in this thread, I can see that is not the case throughout the world (and frankly, I find that surprising; but, that doesn't make it wrong. Musical tastes and popularity vary by country, of course).

I think if Adele covered it, it would be interesting. Different to say the least. I love Adele, so I would be happy to hear her sing or try to sing anything. Even if the song had to be changed a little bit.

Here in Argentina both versions are very popular. When you listen to radios that play music from the 80s you'll hear Jennifer's version as a huge classic...

but Céline's cover is widely recognized and also played by AC radios...

The older generation (now in their 50s and 60s) probably know better Jennifer's version.

Céline's version is more well known among the people in their 30s and 40s!

Her live version of "One and only" she hits many D5s!

Still, Cher can go higher and lower... at her 67 years of age.

But Adele has a beautiful and powerful head voice, very versatile.
