donpi86 Posted March 12, 2014 at 04:25 PM Posted March 12, 2014 at 04:25 PM The interviewer made great and interesting questions and some of them were asnwered as always: Children... love... family... bla bla... hehee ;-) Sorry I don't want to be negative... but serious... comparing Vegas with anywhere... Even trying to compare with Paris.... seriously... Vegas it's the ideal holiday destination because it has new buildings everyday and shopping, and restaurants and waterparks.... c'mon.... what about HISTORY PLACES, NATURE, CULTURE, MUSEUMS..... Guess she has to sell to the world Vegas since she is the new queen in the city with her magic love and naive thinking.. hehehe ;-) 1 Quote

It's one of the most affordable places in the country to live, so a lot of people are moving their families there. 3 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

I like the calmer Céline in interviews. And of course she has to "sell" Vegas (not only the show) because she lives there. She looks great too! Edited March 12, 2014 at 04:29 PM by Xpresso 1 Quote

Why wouldn't she? Remember, these interviews aren't meant to be viewed all over the world, this was meant to be shown in North America. And if you're going to bash Las Vegas, I suggest looking it up first. There are museums, nature (hello...trips to the Grand Canyon often leave from Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is nearby and the surrounding area is as gorgeous as mother nature intended {see Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam for man made marvels}),and history...American history that is.No need to be bitter because she's not performing where you are. c4n4d4 Posted March 12, 2014 at 05:39 PM Posted March 12, 2014 at 05:39 PM Wow great interview, was really good in my opinion and she looks great. And for those of you hating on Vegas and complaining that it doesn't have history clearly have never been there. Everything she said is true, best food I have ever had was at the Bachnal Buffet in Caesar's Palace (the number one buffet in the world) and trust me it may be a buffet but its not one that you have ever experienced. The history is not just in the landmarks in the surrounding areas, but in the city itself, take a a drive to old Las Vegas or to Freemont street both are historic to Las Vegas. And then you have Lake Mead and Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Red Rock Canyon, the Valley of Fire and so on. All in reasonable drives from Vegas. Vegas is becoming more family oriented I went there when I was 13 (7 years ago) and then again when I was 19 and 20 and there was no lack of things to do despite being underage. They really have expanded the city in a way that can appeal to almost everyone no matter the age. 3 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas

Sorry I didn't want to hurt your feelings...I didn't want to bash Las vegas, is one of the places I want to visit in the future... ( I was close last year when I went to SF...) I was just trying to say that for me it is quite funny the comment about.... "There is Paris, I recomend you to go... but wow.. There is Vegas... where there is new buildings.. and shopping and cool restaurants.. and a lot of cool hotels and waterparks...". Just funny for me... I could imagine her saying... "And there is another Eiffel Tower too" and making a goofy face.... I don't need to be bitter... I'm happy with her being the Vegas queen even if I'm not going to see her probably in my life.... I'm happy with the DVD's haha.. But... Just trying to say that the whole Vegas Theme park can't be compared with anywhere I think... (maybe ignorant) Vegas is not New York, or Boston, Or Washington, or San Francisco or New orleans... or Paris, Or London, Or Berlin.... It's like saying that the best part of Paris is going to Disneyland.... Or by the way... funny Debby Downer, sorry I have to look for it in the web... not everybody in the world can watch saturday night live... 1 Quote

DionFanAlways Posted March 12, 2014 at 05:52 PM Posted March 12, 2014 at 05:52 PM I did enjoy this interview, but yes she is like speed talking Many people may not like her comment on her thoughts about buying land, saying it's like Monopoly to her, but I really liked that part! For so long, I think anyway, she has tried to play down her wealth. You go girl! Cha ching! 4 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

First of all, I am not Vegas and my feelings were not hurt. I was simply proving you wrong. Second, She wasn't being totally serious. Of course she knows Paris is completely different, but when taking about cuisine many think that Vegas has the best cuisine in the world (because so many famous chefs set up shop there). Of course Vegas is not every city, but it is in a league of its own and people all over the world come to see it. Third, "theme park"? What are you talking about. Vegas is more than the strip. And Fourth, Debbie Downer is a skit based off of a saying. I was calling you a "Debbie Downer." The picture is for my amusement, which is actually the reason I visit the forum. chocolatechip15 Posted March 13, 2014 at 12:43 AM Posted March 13, 2014 at 12:43 AM My favorite parts of these interviews: (1) Her referring to the fridge as technology (I guess it is, but it seems hilarious to pair it up with the ipod); and (2) her messing up "Home is where the heart is" (too adorable!). Interesting that she didn't actually answer the question of whether she has a cell phone. 2 Quote

She may have meet those types of refrigerators, because she was discussing how people interact with music (ipods, etc.). Celine's English is such a roller coaster; some days she's spot on, others she is wanting to break open the television again I like that Andrew Sorikin asked thoughtful questions......but Celine is so speedy and gives answers to questions she thinks she's asked....without stopping to hear what the interviewer said. I think she hears the questions. But, the basic rule of communications training/media relations generally, is that you answer the question you wanted them to ask, not necessarily the question they asked. That way you stay on point. The talent comes from spinning the question back to your topic, or making your answer run at least in the vain of the question asked. So, it could be, that she uses the fact that English is her second language to kind of play with the questions---everyone thinks her phrases are funny, they like the interview, but yet she still was able to communicate her point with a more general/fluffy answer. If anything, it just shows how much experience she has in dealing with media. I liked this interview, and her discussion on real estate, and her perspective on her career goals/goals as an artist (specifically, I am referring to her discussion of live performance vs studio work). As to all the Vegas discussions above, I am like a professional shopper. I love it. As for America, Vegas has some of the best shopping in the country. Vegas has great restaurants as well, and museums. As mentioned above, Vegas is also nearby a lot of beautiful national parks. I do believe at one time Vegas was pretty much for adults only, but that was many years ago Today, probably since the start of A New Day and forward, Vegas has changed tremendously.
