I also asked him to pass on the message to Celine/Rene and/or Julie that we would eventually love to have one. And to keep us updated if things change.

 

I spoke to Hello Magazine Canada and they told me they'd ask Celine about next time they talk to her...so you never know

So basically we may still get a dvd closer to the end of the residency(which we all kind of expected) so don't lose hope yet!

Thanks for the update! I was hoping with the concert extension/new deal (or whatever it is, exactly lol) that'd we see a DVD of this show in the next year or so. Especially if they re-launch a new show to run until 2019.

From what I take and the way it's being advertised I'm almost 100% certain her current show "Celine" will run atleast till next summer. After that I have no clue for now but I will ask Martin again if we hear anything else in terms of a new show or whatever. I've also messaged Julie countless of times and she for sure saw it last night since she posted something right after my post about the Vegas dvd(course it wasn't related to my post but still!) and then she began "liking" some of the posts in one of her status updates on facebook last night which were directly after my post as well. So I'm sure they get the message, I think right now the problem is figuring out a) does Celine want a dvd of this show(I'm pretty sure she does since she thinks it's her best show yet) and b ) figuring out when is the right time to film it.

 

I'll keep at it,and keep everyone posted if I hear anything else

Yeah I'd imagine so but everyone was speculating that they'd do a new show and not keep the old show till 2019 so I wanted to see if there was any truth to that and the best way was to see if they had dvd plans. Yeah he said it hasn't been brought up(dvd plans) so I'm guessing they're keeping this show the way it is for a while so guess it'll be as many of us predicted: when the residency ends.

Besides in a recent interview with the guy at Caesar's in charge of the contracts and show he mentioned, when asked about Celine's extension or new contract till 2019, he said that they really can't talk about it or give anything away at the time. Everything regarding this will be kept close to the vest until the right time for news regarding changes to the show or switching to a whole new concept.

Yeah sounds about right to me. As far as what I could tell from what Rene said for this year there are no changes to the show except adding a few new songs in from the album. Martin didn't have any knowledge of the show being filmed so really as of now it's not something their thinking about for whatever reason. Guess we'll see though after watching Garth Brooks tonight I wouldn't mind if Celine doing something similar when her residency ends.

My only real fear is what if we don't get a dvd I kno everyone says we will but it's happened to me twice with some of my other fave artists we were sooo sure we were gonna get a DVD but in the end we didn't that's why I just want someone to say you kno no right now no plans but we will for sure eventually tape it. Drives me nuts wish we had more contact with Rene or Celine herself. And tbh I don't kno how much knowledge Martin would have on all this but he was the only one who has replied to me . Like I've said I've tried Julie countless times but nothing IMO I think she'd have more knowledge on this topic then Martin but I do appreciate him even replying to me

This is true. I bet we'll hear more about it in 2014 or towards the end of the year. It's a while to wait but they seem to always release something for Celine because they sell so well. I'm sure we'll see it in time.

I hope so. If we get any confirmation bout them completely changing the show i'll message Martin again see what I can get out of him the second time round. I'll just say are we going to get a dvd of the show as it is now before any major changes occur.

I'm also thinking they're aiming for closer towards the end of the residency. ^ Either way I'm just happy we're getting one. I'm shocked at how quickly his answer changed. One month ago he said there were no plans now he says there is but not sure of the date.
