That prick doesnt deserve it. BUT i have to admit that I CANNOT get enough of this song! Its crazy how Celine can revive such boring song (DM duet with Adele). It's so pitchy and just can't stand it. It almost doesn't sound like her. It seems to me that the one in charge of the production didn't exactly know what he was doing. I am certain that if she does perform Breakaway live, it would sound so much different, and better, only because i could hear her voice on the song (finally) sans the digital manipulation. Anyway, i agree with you 100% that WAAF will probably score her another top 10 in the UK. It's just so good and you can see how she gives it all her best when performing it live. It's reminiscent of the 90s Celine. Plus it's a ballad, albeit an edgy one. 4 Quote
Hilda Posted February 4, 2014 at 12:52 AM Posted February 4, 2014 at 12:52 AM she sounds way better now singing all the songs that she recorded back in 2012 rather than on the cd - its a shame. for me she jsut sounds a bit nasel on this song - it did grow on me and i still find myself singing along to it but its never been a fave and massively tarnished by merriweather and i dont want her to release it here in protest. i want her to release original songs - if she needed to promote anything it should have been breakaway or a re-record of 'didnt know love' seen as that should have clearly been done in 2013 too judging by the nasality in the album vers. yeah thats a new word i just coined. ha. 1 Quote
