wjd Posted November 9, 2013 at 12:24 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 12:24 PM I get goosebumps whenever I hear Céline Dion on the radio - BBC Radio 2 is the UK's biggest radio station by FAR and they've devoted a whole week to Céline! I love that UK radio isn't quite as bad as US radio when it comes to playlisting older artists. 2 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

wjd Posted November 9, 2013 at 12:37 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 12:37 PM FANTASTIC interview - she's incredibly charismatic. I was worried about how she'd come across as you usually need to see her mannerisms to get her humour but no problems at all, she did a really great job. I just love the woman. 3 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

marc-02 Posted November 9, 2013 at 12:51 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 12:51 PM What a coincidence... the next guest after celine (laura myula) was asked to choose the next song that they're gonna play... and she goes: "oh i choose Save Your Soul!..."... and i was like about to go ecstatic... then she continues... "by Jamie Cullum.." Hahaha 1 Quote

celine_1983 Posted November 9, 2013 at 02:59 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 02:59 PM Amazing interview with Graham! Unfinished songs sounds fantastic in the album version - so much more modern than the soundtrack mix. Also loving the little interludes they have been showing today on QVC - so cool to have Celine on uk tv and sooo excited for Jonathan Ross tonight - don't think the promo around the release of one of her albums has been this good since LTAL and she sounds better then ever!!! 1 Quote
homerton Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:05 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:05 PM so excited of course the judges were there, they were ordered in by simon i bet to bow down to the monarch. Even the Queen Elizabeth does not demand such respect as our celine. Bet Sharon was shitting her pants! 3 Quote

Im sorry its not the greatest quality Thanks a lot for this! Now we can appreciate it's the first time they've lowered the original track for a tv performance. She sounded great and powerful in the first half, she hit a few faux steps but still her voice has never sounded so strong during this promo tour. Still, not better than the Pandora or Quebec one. What makes it better is the original track instead of the band. At least she didn't have pitch problems, just some cracks.I loved how she changed the big note to a separate OHHH which she nailed! Overall she came off as a powerful, confident and strong diva! very different from 2007! 1 Quote

Shaun Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:25 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:25 PM I wish it was 10 million - the audience of X Factor here has shrunk by nearly 3m. Just looked into it and whilst certainly the Saturday night show ratings have fallen, the Sunday night results show have held steady at anywhere between 8.5 - 9.5m viewers. 2 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
wjd Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:32 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:32 PM Just looked into it and whilst certainly the Saturday night show ratings have fallen, the Sunday night results show have held steady at anywhere between 8.5 - 9.5m viewers. You're right, the results show does score more viewers. Last week's show received 8.35m viewers - 500,000 less viewers than the previous week, and over 1m less than last year, at this stage of the competition. Not that it matters, its still an excellent platform to perform and promote on - my point is that we just might not see the same effect this time around as we did last time Céline was on, when X Factor was fetching 10-12m viewers per episode. mike_z Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:36 PM Posted November 9, 2013 at 03:36 PM It depends, this song is a lot more "powerful", "haunting" and it has the IT factor of a hit single. People might actually wanna go out and buy it. I'm sure she'll go TOP 20 with the song after the performance. Too bad there's only one live performance of LMBTL in the UK overall, when we were expecting 3. Still, I think it will do the trick! Quote
