yes, she was making it, now , since she does less shows...it il more like 35 millions. a little less than 500 000$ a show Edited by québecflower

Britney is wearing a different version of the same top. If you look closely though, you can see that Celine might be wearing the Britney version in her upcoming appearance on the Le Banquier Show. Note sure though.

 

I like this top on both Britney and Celine, but i like the sleeveless version alot and it doesn't have skin colored fabric on the tummy area. I'm pretty sure, from the pics i have seen, that Celine is wearing the Britney version on Le Banquier though. I can't wait to get a closer look at it!

Britney a great performer? :sofunny: Then the person I saw in her last tour was not her, becuse that person was far from being a great performer. Having a big and expensive show doesn't make you a great performer

 

That's why her show cannot be compared to Celine's. Celine's show is more about voice and a true ability to sing. Britney doesn't have a big voice so sadly she has to rely on a "cool, hip club-like show" and showing some skin of course. Celine doesn't need to do any of those things in order to pull in the big bucks.

I kind of feel sorry for Britney that the tickets aren't selling but I always knew it wasn't going to compare to AND or Celine in any way.

I'm not surprised she isn't selling well... maybe she'll sell more tix at last minute when people want to have fun and don't know what to do... but I don't see people planning a Vegss trip just for Britney...

When I read this, I'm glad that Celine stays true to herself! We gotta be proud of her because it's so easy to do what the industry wants. Britney just showed it again! :)

There are conflicting reports out about ticket sales for Britney Spears' Vegas concerts ... some are saying sales are disastrously poor ... Brit's people are saying "it's the best-selling show in the history of Vegas." TMZ now has the numbers, and it's pretty clear -- Britney is about to own Vegas.

 

Britney will be performing 48 shows a year for the next 2 years -- according to the contract obtained by TMZ. Tickets are available now for the first 16 shows. We've been on dozens of calls with StubHub, Ticketmaster and Planet Hollywood's box office among others ... and here's what we're told.

 

 

For the first 16 shows ... a total of 73,600 tickets were up for sale. The number of tickets actually sold is impressive --70,242.

 

Of the available, remaining, 3,358 tickets, 2,887 are in the nosebleed section.

 

We can't vouch for this being the best selling show ever in Vegas, but it's definitely up there.

 

Britney sources have told us they're actually talking about adding shows, and if that happens Britney will rake in even more than the $15 mil a year she's already guaranteed.

 

 

 

 

Don't believe everything you read guys, specially if it's from doubtable sources.

I'm watching TMZ right now, they are showing a recent Britney interview and she has the same shirt as Céline had in Québec City. Sorry. I just had to share.

 

That's interesting! Could you show some pictures? :)

 

As for Brtiney, i listen to her music once in a while but basically it happens quite seldom. Her Vegas residency... Well, good luck to her anyway. "Enjoy" as Celine said.

Why is this such shocking news. Celine is a singer/'kind of an entertainer', Britney just lips her way around and will make a gay paradise. So of course the most money goes to the pro. And she's proven she can fill up her bath tub. Brit Brit, with all due respect, still needs to prove this.

wouldn't pay my money to watch Britney. i'm sure she is not capable of singing live (she doesn't sound good on the record either). why is this woman still in show business is beyond me.

Céline sold out her first 60 shows on her original Vegas run - that's over 265,000 tickets - before she even took to the stage.

 

That's something Britney's meagre run can't compare to.

With a string of blockbuster Las Vegas gigs under her belt, Celine Dion is a veteran Sin City performer. And now, she has a few words of wisdom for the new kid on The Strip: Britney Spears, who is set to begin a 16-date Vegas residency in December.

 

"What I wish for her, especially as a mother, is for her to find wonderful people who can help her find a balance between the artist that she is and the mother, and to try and find an emotional balance to cope with those two and be the best of both worlds," Dion tells ET Canada in an interview set to air Tuesday. "I think she can really do it!"

 

When asked if she had any advice to give, Dion says Spears, 31, is already a pro.

 

"I don't think she needs any advice from me! She's been there, she's been on stage, she's shook it all out! She's very talented and knows exactly what to do," Dion, 45, notes.

 

 

Dion, whose hit show Celine has been a mainstay at Caesars Palace since 2011, is now on her second successful residency in Las Vegas. Her first show, A New Day, had a five-year run that racked up 700 performances and pulled in three million people.

 

In between residencies, Dion gave birth to twins, and before returning to Las Vegas, she told PEOPLE that balancing show business with family would be a top priority.
