Britney Spears Vegas contract huge...but NOTHING compared to Céline's!

But She Can't Touch Celine

 

Britney Spears will be raking in HUGE STACKS in Vegas this winter -- a ridiculous $310,000 per show ... nearly $15 million per year -- but she still doesn't hold a candle to Celine Dion.

 

TMZ is privy to the financial details of Britney's deal. The 2-year contract calls for 48 shows a year at Planet Hollywood. According to the contract, Britney will earn $310,000 per show.

 

By contrast, Celine does 70 shows a year. Sources say she pulls in $476,000 a show ... so she's way ahead of Britney in the money department, but Brit gets more time off.

 

Britney's cut of the gate is huge -- projected sales per show are $508,514, meaning Brit will be snagging more than 60%.

 

As we reported, producers are shooting for a "cool, hip club-like show" ... unlike the run-of-the-mill Vegas shows that preceded it (Celine's included). It starts in December.

I think Britney will do well..she's a great performer. She'll be good in a spectacle of a show. But to say Celine is "run of the mill" (I believe they were referencing "Celine" and not "AND") is a bit ridiculous.

Britney a great performer? :sofunny: Then the person I saw in her last tour was not her, becuse that person was far from being a great performer. Having a big and expensive show doesn't make you a great performer

She could ten years ago, but not now. I was in her concert and I'm telling you that Celine dances more during LCMM or RDMH that Britney does now. Maybe she has improved now, but after watching her interview today I really doub it, she is not confortable on the stage, that's clear as water

I think it will be a fun production show of her hits BUT for TMZ to say Celine's shows are "run of the mill" is quite ridiculous and they only said that because Celine is perceived as "uncool". AND was an incredible production show - just amazing and ground breaking along with RECORD breaking. The new show is not a big production like AND was but it's well put together & classy. It focuses more on Celine which I assume the Britney show will be similar to (focus on Britney). I think she signed for 48 shows a year because it's doubtful she can do more like Celine does. I like her songs, but most are pretty forgettable. I don't like her new single at all.

Essentially it means average or nothing special. They were implying that nothing stands out to separate Celine's show from other Vegas acts.

I bet the person who wrote this article never went/watched Celine's concert. Either way, TMZ is a sinkhole defamatory rag-mag and they always talk and write crap about Celine as well as about some other celebrities so these kind of comments coming from them don't surprise me at all.

She can't dance anymore. I had to accompany my cousin who had an extra ticket for her show in Montreal during her Circus Tour and she was just walking around and moving her arms. She just couldn't dance. Not to mention that her show was 100% lip-synced.

Oh, I'm sure it will be. She puts on a big expensive show that may be visually stunning but I definitely agree......she can't sing! Not at all. She may have some moves but they're not what they used to be. And, while I do like some of her songs, they all sound the same after a while. (Another reason why I'm so excited for Celine's new album....it doesn't sound the same) I think that's also why she's doing fewer shows a year than Celine. I don't know if she could sell out that many shows a year. Initially, yes, with all the hype, etc. but once that wears off I don't think so. And I don't see people planning trip after trip to go to Vegas simply just to see her. An added bonus to their trip but not just to see her (although I'm sure she will have a few.....). Either way, though.....I'd shake my butt and lip-synch for that pay-check! :giggle: :clap: :bananadance:

TMZ almost never writes anything good about Celine. In the rare event that they do, they always find a way to undermine her.

 

Didn't Britney's last tour flop? I don't think she'll be able to sell out most of the shows.

i don't mean to bash BS, but the girl can't sing live (never did anyway) neither can't dance (anymore) Circus tour and femme fatale tour prove that. She's nothing like she used to be as a performer. Madonna is 50something and dances 1000X more than she does.

 

That being said, in studio Birtney is amazing... I've been listening to her music since she's gone crazy :crazy: (since Blackout). "Femme Fatale" is one of the greatest pop album i've heard. No weak song imo.

 

she will sale out cause of that...and its just 50 shows a year
