knowing Katy is about to sell less than 100k on her second week, it makes me think Cline won't top those numbers. This industry changed a lot the last 6 years. I'm just happy she still able to compete with the it girls of the moment.

Are you referring to what I said about Celine making "better" music? And because I stated that on a Celine Dion forum I am suddenly hating on Eminem? if so, that is ridicules. I won't go as far as to and say that I like Eminem, but some of his stuff is alright, and I don't hate him nor did I call his music trash, just for the record.

 

This is a topic about the charts, and obviously we as her fans want her to do the best that she can. And that has nothing to with hating on other artists or not respecting them. Learn the difference.

Is there any promo in the US once the album got released? I'm afraid team Celine don't have anything planned. Landing in a good chart position is not enough. Longevity in the chart is more important. That won't happen if she only has a couple of TV show performance prior to the release date. She also needs to promote it in the US once the album is out.

I am afraid not. So far only Dr.Oz was announced, other than that, pretty much dead promo EVEN for the week of release...Disastrous...She would have gone Good Morning America. I have to admit, after Oprah Show no longer ran, artists that used to advantage from the show like Josh Groban and Celine Dion now have very few platforms to reach Adult demographics....

Due to the release dates, she cannot possibly be in America during the release week as the album is released in most of Europe too.

 

Sony executives have already stated that she has more promo lined up in their interview with Billboard.

But the next promo in the Europe is on 9th appearing at the German show, so question is what she is doing between now and 9th ? I am sure Dr.Oz was pre-taped when she visited U.S few days ago. She will not be in Canada, too...unless she is having shows in Vegas next week.

That is not true; she'll be in the UK - for starters, she's taping X Factor on the 8th.

I really want this album to succeed at least more than mediocre success.. Cuz with success, Sony will invest more Celine albums in near future and we don't have to wait for another 6 years. For instance, she could have made a video for LMBTL, at least that would get circulated in music channels, I believe she has a say with the Management and if she likes the song that much, I don't get why she did not want to do it. Look at Katy and Gaga, they have concepts of what they want their music videos to be...

I am just pinpointing the most basic and fundamental promo such as Music Video is not even there. How to comprehend that Sony and Celine have done all their might ?

I listen to LMBTL and it's like "how can this song have been a flop?!!!" I don't get that feeling with Taking Chances, it has a "moderate hit" sound and that's what it was!

When TC came out, I was still in my teens. So were a lot of kids who grew up when Celine was at her biggest (FIY, LTAL, ATW era). There are now no teens who were around at that time. They're all in their 20s now, some mid-late 20's.

Exactly. Also, a banner on iTunes and Youtube are very simple things but would surely help a lot. These are what Team Celine is lacking.

I'm not worry at all. It's actually a good thing to promote the album more in Europe than in USA. I hate when artists promote their albums only in USA, thinking this is the center of the world. Celine has two big markets in Europe; France and UK. If it goes well, chances are good that she sells in these two countries almost as much as what she'll sell in USA.

 

Even though she won't be physicaly in USA the week of its released, there will be adds running and other kind of promo. I think the word is pretty much out there that Celine is releasing a new album. I'm not worry at all for the first month since her main fans will be it during that time. What worry me is after the initial buzz, namely the first month. I'm happy Sony will support the album until January at least. Afterward, it will depend on the success of the album.

LMBTL is simply not being played enough on radios and if it was, it would be a hit because it's just such a great song! I really can't picture the gaga, katy perry fans hearing this song and not liking it.
