So she can't hear really what's happening then? She doesn't hear the feedback or distortion? Was the crowd singing in the begining?

 

From looking at her face I don't think she realised what was happening at the start, it seemed she heard the playback perfectly fine in her ears (similar to the TCWT incident in Vienna with IDAN, when the playback didn't start but Celine didn't realise, as she heard it fine through her earpieces. The audience were left listening to Celine's real live singing which wasn't meant to be heard). However, as MHWGO progressed, you can see she realised something wasn't right as she then started turning to look at the band members, maybe she started to get bad feedback in her ears too? The crowd were gasping as they heard all the distortion but sang along with Celine anyway until she stopped the song. Celine could see in people's faces at the front that she wasn't being heard properly through the speakers, and when she started again she kept looking at us to make sure everything was sounding ok.

 

 

I was really hoping that Celine would be forced to sing live when they were setting up to perform the song again. But unfortunately they were able to fix the playback issue.

Yeah, that would have been great. But still, you saw something special in person that most of us didn't get to see, so that adds a Little something to your experience.

Don't yall think people know and that she has to know that people know? When I see her in Vegas and it comes to MHWGO, even though I know it and I am tired of hearing it it still gets me when she is standing in front of me! That's power!

Incredible, but bloody scary! That could have so easily have turned nasty. I wonder if she was terrified inside?

Probably the best Show of the 4 I've been to on this mini tour, despite the Major glitch at MHWGO.

Maybe I'm biased as I had the best seat at this Show but my impresson was that the atmosphere a the audience at this how were the best!

If you ask me I'd say she sang MHWGO live on saturday after the technical difficulties. There were still something odd with the sound when she started the song again, and for the next songs, like a couple of the speakers weren't working properly or something I don't know quite how to put my finger on it

This was my second and final show. I had a more expensive seat on the floor by myself, while John, Davey, Helen and Robin were sitting together further back. I had a lovely conversation in French with the man next to me who was also by himself. Although I was 43 rows from the stage, I had an amazing view. It was great being on the floor because at several points during the show, everyone stood up and clapped along with the music. Some things stood out for me during this show: at the end of Destin, she hit the microphone against her chest to make a heartbeat sound (des batiments de mon coeur!), she held the last note of QPVSA for a very long time (I wasn't too keen on this song until I heard it live - WOW!), and during CQMTA, the video screen froze, just showing the full moon throughout the song. Towards the end of the show, as JIOTI started, I noticed people starting to move into the aisles and head towards the stage. I asked the man next to me if he wanted to try and get closer, so during that song we got from row 43 to row 19! I thought that was great, but then suddenly as LCMM started there seemed to be loads more space ahead, so we kept moving forward and got to the very front rows right in front of the stage, and we stayed there right until the end of the show. It was a magical experience being this close to Celine, and even more special that I was there for the MHWGO playback failure! There were so many people standing in the aisle, but it was lovely because everyone (including myself) were singing along to PQTME, and when Celine moved about the stage during the second verse she came and stood right in front of us! For me, this was the best show EVER!!

Oh and I forgot to mention - Regarde-moi was far better than the 25/26 November bootlegs, she really got into the song and was moving around the stage a lot more! It was the highlight of the show for me, after dropping it from the Quebec show I thought she would never sing it again.

No, they fixed the playback and Celine happily and successfully finished lip-synching the song.

No, she doesn't. She lip synced plenty of songs she sang for the first time before she ever had the chance to be tired of them. I surrender, I wish, that's just the woman in me, falling into you, and many other songs.

Then why all those faces rolling up her eyes?

 

She was doing that after seeing from the crowd's reaction that the playback was working properly this time. If she was singing live she would have been able to say something to the audience like "can you hear me now?", but as she was lip-syncing this was the only way she could show her relief, as she knew her microphone was turned back down again for the song.

Sunday was good, because I was sat closer, but I think she had more emotion on Saturday, especially after the dedication to her father before she sang Parler À Mon Père.

 

I had a lump in my throat the whole time she sang - glitches, or not, I'm amazed by her each time I see her.
