Sounds like everyone in Anvers had a great time! I am thrilled that I'll be at her first concert back at Bercy this Monday! I'm so excited to add Bercy as one of the places I've seen her live.

Watching some of the videos... and I find that WAAF is a lot nicer in concert than LMBTL, which seems like a real tough song!!

this the one with the sleeve http://3.bp.blogspot...391359384_n.jpg in quebec, this is the black one , also in quebec - https://fbcdn-sphoto...049843536_n.jpg

and the last one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcreSHNsXHA see 1:26 - the same dress

she had the same dresses of that show in this show

I'm pretty sure the last dress is the one from the Whitney Houston tribute that she did during the same time she recorded the SA special last year, probably also explaining why she looked pretty uncomfortable when walking down those stairs and why she was late to coming into MHWGO.

Wow, the concert was amazing yesterday! Very good setlist! I really liked the 2008 concert in Atwerp, but this one was much much nicer. Just celine and her voice on stage, she doesn't need dancers and all that. This was the best Celine concert I have been to :)

Review second night Antwerp ;)

As already mentioned before, this time no messing around with earpieces, microphone monitor, forgetting of lyrics, missing intro's etc. The show was flawless in that respect.

I guess the band and her were just smooth. She was really into the moment, concentrated; she even said Goedenavond and Dankuwel (Dutch for: Good-evening and Thank You) many times, which was just funny and made the Dutch speaking crowd crazy lol.

The voice was immaculate. She only missed some belts during RDMH. All was really, really well sung. God, she had the heyday of her career, but she's singing like it's 2002 (or perhaps 1999 ;)).

Although they performed two songs less, (17 and Miracle) there were more changes to the set. She sang ABM in the short Balmain-dress-set, after WAAF and SSDA. So she finished the third set with ABM. This fitted really well. I thought the flow in the whole show was perfect.

Earlier, I really liked the video-montages accompanying the performance of WDMHBN. I believe she sang the LAST part live. But I've never been the biggest WDMHBN expert, so, I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can make anything out of one of the bootlegs.

Speaking of the English repertoire: obviously WAAF and LMBTL were song life, perfectly. It's unbelievable. She's in such great shape.

The audio quality of the Sportpaleis was really bad. It more or less reminded me of cheap sport-events; with too much bass, all the music being one big ball of noise. I could hardly identity the brass ensemble. Her voice more or less sounded a bit 'shrill' (sorry to say that). More people were complaining about this.

Also: the stage was nice, though it didn't add much to the show, however, she doesn't need the hodgepodges and whims mediocre singers add to their performance. On the other hand, the video registration was really well done.

BTW;

During the first set a rose was given to her from the audience, she immediately gave the rose to Elise (background singer). During ONCP they shared glances continuously. I'm not into all these details, does but anyone have a clue what was going on? Was yesterday her birthday perhaps?

To conclude: Anyone going to Bercy next week; If she'll manages to pull of as well as in Antwerp; you may well expect the best from her. :)

I agree my favorite French song! Should replace NMQP in Vegas it would sound great with the orchestra!

She should replace NMQP with any of her French catalog..... :in_love:

I gotta be honest with you... I thought the sound was amazing! It wasn't too loud, it wasn't too soft. The bass was indeed some loud and the drummer's kick was too soft in my opinion. I've been at many concerts and most of the times, my ears were howling. This time not. Also I saw her struggeling with her in-ears and also, again with her mic. As well on Thursday as Friday. The sound by her concert in Amsterdam 2008 was really a mess! But that's because the Amsterdam ArenA isn't build for a good quality for music. Do you think she'll do a tour in English too here in Europe? I think that a lot of countries here are waiting for her. Amsterdam could be sold out twice and in the U.K. her fans are also as loyal as a dog.

Short review from me :) I was at the Friday's show, my first Celine Dion concert! It was really amazing, she surprised me with her energy and she seems to have a lot of fun on stage. Fun fact, she is réally stuck in the nineties because her microphone had a string :P (is that wat you call it in English?). I noticed as well her speaking voice seemed a little off.. A little high-pitched.

Highlights of the evening: the outro of Je Crois Toi (I know, no Celine present, bt it was divine. Elise is brilliant, really), s'il suffisait d'aimer, terre and PQTME :)

That's what we said too! Celine is just brilliant on her own. We liked the 2008 concert as it was our first "French" concert. But this time around the setlist was a lot better IMO. And so true: she doesn't need dancers or a spectacular stage. (But my favorite Celine concert will probably always be the first time in May 1995).

Yes, I'm so happy you say this. I was literally saying this to myself during that performance.

AMAZING, right? :)

Well, the sound was FAR from amazing. Amazing sound one would find in The Concertgebouw or De Doelen for that matter.

Maybe it was good for a sportsarena.

We don't know if she's doing another tour for LMBTL, right? :)

I've been once at the Doelen but there was the sound not good. Not at all. Very dull! I hope so! Her French songs are nice but, I got to admit that I prefer her more in English.

ABM was sooo good! it was def live, only part I dunno if it was live or not was the really high "anymooooore" part (not the last "anymore" that one was def live)

You know what? Say what you will about the note but people eat it up. Including myself!

My favorite concert will probably always be the first one in Congresgebouw, Den Haag in 1995.

Still, she has some great French songs and it all depends on the setlist whether I prefer her in French or in English.

There was indeed something with Elise.

I was there Friday on the sound check and on a certain moment she had turned herself away from the audience with a tissue and she was crying, Barnev was comforting her and gave her a pat on the shoulder.
