D'Eux - Meaning of Songs for Celine

Building on the comments already made on Regarde-Moi, I think "the train" is fame - an unstoppable train, no one knows where it is going but it's incredibly fast. Sometimes you want to pull the handbrake, get off at a station, take a break.

In all of that madness Celine needs Rene to look her in the eyes and keep her grounded :

Regarde-moi, dis-moi les mots tendres

Ces mots tout bas,

(Look at me, tell me loving words with your soft voice)

Fais-moi redescendre loin de tout loin de tout çà

(Help me come down from all of that)

Je veux, je commande, regarde-moi

(Please I beseech you look at me)

J'ai besoin de tes yeux,

C'est le miroir où j'existe sans eux

Je ne me vois pas

(I need your eyes, they are the mirror of my existence...without them, I lose sight of myself)

I have done a poetic rathe than literal translation. But when I hear this song, I think of the crazy rush of fame and the love between Rene and Celine that is a stabilising force through it all.

Definitely, the vocals are different in some parts, so it must be a leftover from the studio sessions for 'D'eux'!

Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)

Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)

Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

Expanding on the D'eux vs. SA topic, I think Sa is the D'eux of now. This is personal now coming from/reflecting the older person and D'eux was then/the youth. My personal favorite on this album is J'Attendais. In fact, this is my all time favorite French Celine song! :)
