preciousillusions2012 Posted January 7, 2013 at 11:36 PM Posted January 7, 2013 at 11:36 PM Hi! Celine fans My name is Alyssa and I'm thirty years old. I'm from Henderson, Kentucky and I was born in Sandpoint, Idaho. If you canadians have been fans of hers since the eighties when you were young kids and teenage kids. If you bought some records, cassette tapes and CDs in thirty one years ago. I can upload some old pictures of Celine's french albums. Take a look at these ones. Thanks. Alyssa. 2 Quote 'Nobody puts Baby in the corner'~Johnny Castle.
chocolatechip15 Posted January 8, 2013 at 03:58 AM Posted January 8, 2013 at 03:58 AM I was just listening for Visa Pour Les Beaux Jours tonight, and thinking what a fabulous up-tempo song it is - such a happy, young message, and she sounds fabulous! Her old stuff gets overlooked sometimes, but it's so, so good! Quote

LuisMa Posted January 8, 2013 at 08:59 AM Posted January 8, 2013 at 08:59 AM "Incognito" is my favorite of them all, and my favorite pre-Incognito song is "Je Ne Veux Pas" with "Fais Ce Que Tu Voudras" coming a close second. Quote

Celine Fan 77 Posted January 8, 2013 at 10:37 AM Posted January 8, 2013 at 10:37 AM I am really into 'C'est Pour Toi' this month. It's a wonderful album and definitely my favorite track is the title song. Here's my top 5: 1. C'est Pour Toi2. Les Oiseaux Du Bonheur3. C'est Pour Vivre4. Pour Vous5. Tu Es Là At first I hated the song Amoureuse but ever since I heard the live version, I'm in love with that song! How I wish she would have promoted more this album, 'cause the promo tour was only the TV special to mark the release of the record, the 'C'est Pour Toi Tournée' and few TV appearances in Quebec and France. Javito Posted January 8, 2013 at 01:06 PM Posted January 8, 2013 at 01:06 PM C'est Pour Toi is my favourite one too. Eddy Marnay was truly a magician with the pen I like all the songs in this album, especially C'est pour toi, C'est pour vivre, Elle and Les oiseaux du bonheur. But I have a special feeling with Avec toi  I miss the old days when she cared still about this early material. Remember when she introduced "Elle" in Paris during the Olympia concerts in 1994? I wish she did that again and more often 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
LuisMa Posted January 8, 2013 at 01:12 PM Posted January 8, 2013 at 01:12 PM ^ "Elle" on that CD is gorgeous. And of course, another of my favorites is the song that started it all, Ce N'Était Qu'un Rêve. Quote

Alex_Incognito Posted January 8, 2013 at 04:52 PM Posted January 8, 2013 at 04:52 PM It's such a shame that the majority of these songs aren't available on CD. We're lucky France released "Du soleil au cœur" back in 2007. I think "Les chemins de ma masion", "Melanie", and "C'est pour toi" house some of the best recordings of her career, 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
Celine Fan 77 Posted January 8, 2013 at 05:48 PM Posted January 8, 2013 at 05:48 PM Right now I'm watching the 'C'est Pour Toi' TV special from 1985. It's amazing that they filmed her singing ALL the songs from the album! It's also a very entertaining show and i recomend to everyone: go and watch it! tiniann88 Posted March 2, 2013 at 08:02 PM Posted March 2, 2013 at 08:02 PM Think about how much money Sony would make if they re-released theses albums on CD.I would include all the German songs (Was Bedute Ich Dir, Mon Ami Geh Nich Fort, Hand In Hand, Nur Das Lieben) and unreleased songs (Stay) as bonus tracks. 1 Quote

celine4evauk Posted March 3, 2013 at 01:33 PM Posted March 3, 2013 at 01:33 PM They were so quick to release Shania's (before Mutt) songs, but never Celine's. Just don't understand Sony sometimes. Quote
Daysleeper Posted March 3, 2013 at 04:11 PM Posted March 3, 2013 at 04:11 PM Maybe it's a question of rights for the songs. I don't understand how it works. Someone who understands it could explain. I don't know what happened to her ex labels Saisons and TBS which released her '80 albums. Still Sony released some of those songs as a part of "On ne change pas" in 2005. Quote

Daysleeper Posted March 3, 2013 at 05:47 PM Posted March 3, 2013 at 05:47 PM Also one of her early albums (I think 'Du Soleil Au Coeur') was released on CD in France back in 2002, was it released by Sony Music? Yes that's correct! Sony Music France released it under the label Sony Music Media. I just went to check. The original release was by french record label Pathé Marconi. So I guess they got rights for the French market. It's the same for "Les oiseaux du bonheur" in 1984. As we can see, all those songs released in Europe (francophone countries) between 1983 and 1988 by the labels Pathé Marconi/EMI and Carrere could be found on various unofficial compilations such as "Les premières années", "For you", "Gold collection" etc.You can't find on those compilations any of the songs that were released only in Canada. On those compilations we always see the same tracks over and over. There is only one exception and it is CD called "The Early Singles" which included "Ce n'était qu'un rêve", "L'amour viendra" and the instrumental version of "Ne partez pas sans moi". But all those songs were released in Europe in '80. Quote
Celine Fan 77 Posted March 3, 2013 at 06:17 PM Posted March 3, 2013 at 06:17 PM Then the early songs included on 'On Ne Change Pas' were not the only ones Sony Music bought, they may own them all now... Daysleeper Posted March 3, 2013 at 06:31 PM Posted March 3, 2013 at 06:31 PM Yes, I guess. I don't know how it works actually. But I think it's a shame that they didn't release all those albums on CD yet. They were popular in Quebec at the time and they received awards too. Quote
