rael1983 Posted September 4, 2012 at 08:01 PM Posted September 4, 2012 at 08:01 PM (edited) To all the Lara haters, please stop creating a war that, in Lara's words, does not exist. http://www.facebook.com/DivaNews/posts/506210082740477 I really hope Celine and Lara get to sing together soon, to stop the war that people and media want to stage between them. That was what happened when Mariah and Whitney did "When You Believe" together. Edited September 4, 2012 at 08:09 PM by rael1983 Quote

Boy Posted September 5, 2012 at 09:26 AM Posted September 5, 2012 at 09:26 AM Well, if it happens then be it. Celine's been my fav singer for such a long time really, I just cen't get enough of listening to her or watching her videos or staring at her pictures but still I happen to ADORE Lara Fabian, she's an amazing singer, her live perfomances are just OUT OF THIS WORLD, she's extremely creative and talented. And besides, she's Celine's fan so putting this altogether I'd be very happy if they sing together)) Quote Love comes to those who believe it...
joaofilho Posted September 5, 2012 at 12:38 PM Posted September 5, 2012 at 12:38 PM Fans of Lara already started attacking the Celine, saying that Lara was boycotted by the United States René, and that this duet happen if the media will massacre the celine wondering why after 20 years so this duet came to happen. Your_Su_Phu Posted September 5, 2012 at 03:40 PM Posted September 5, 2012 at 03:40 PM lol rene couldn't even manage to get celine a real hit after 2000 so they're full of crap. they need to accept that their diva is a major flop in the US Quote

I call 100% BS on this. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying those Lara fans are. I'm FROM the U.S., and the truth is.....Lara Fabian is 100% unknown here. She's nowhere near relevent enough to evenhave a boycott over. She had one hit in 2000, which was "I Will Love Again", but no one ever even knew her name. To this day, that's still the case. Quote
GoldenLeaf Posted September 5, 2012 at 05:12 PM Posted September 5, 2012 at 05:12 PM (edited) Excuse me? Everybody knows that Lara Fabian is totally unknown in the U.S. She's not even considered as a one hit wonder since she never had a hit album nor a hit single in the U.S. She tried to make it big in in the U.S but she miserably flopped. I guess it's because she had to compete with young and popular singers like Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys back in 2000. Edited September 5, 2012 at 05:18 PM by Calypso Quote

Xpresso Posted September 5, 2012 at 11:08 PM Posted September 5, 2012 at 11:08 PM When Lara had her "hit" in the US, she was interviewed by Billboard and I remember very well what she said when they asked her if she would tour with some other act. She said "I don't want to be an opening act"!!! Her single dropped from the Hot 100 a few weeks later... She's rather full of herself imo.And radio stations sure knew Lara wanted to replace Céline during her break... Quote
charmedceline Posted September 9, 2012 at 04:28 PM Posted September 9, 2012 at 04:28 PM Everytime Lara and Céline get mentioned in the same sentence some of you always have to misbehave. It just annoys me how someone can be so disrespectful towards people who they don't know in person. Why do you have to create this "war" when there is none between Céline and Lara. Lara often said that Céline is one of her biggest inspirations. She looks up to Céline. That's why she loves singing Céline's songs too. This is not about copying Céline. This is admiration. Lara focused the last years on the Russian market where she is very famous. Now she's coming back to the French market. What could be better than them doing a song together as a "come back"for both of them. Lara actually never wanted to replace Céline during her break. That was the stupid marketing of Sony Music. Lara said several times, she hated it being put in that position. So please don't speak bad of one person if you don't really know the facts.Céline had the luck to become famous around the world and like Lara there are a lot of people out there that are really amazing artists but they just don't get heard everywhere. But this doesn't mean they are not as good as Céline. This duet could become a real masterpiece of two of the greatest voices. So please do it and show the world what music is about. Btw, Stevie Vann's rendition of "If walls could talk" is really amazing. Thanks for sharing. Quote

sunnyceline Posted September 9, 2012 at 07:28 PM Posted September 9, 2012 at 07:28 PM i think it would be great if they did a power ballad ala Deborah Cox and Whitney Houston "Same script, different cast" where it started off quiet and then just got louder and louder......hmmm I wonder how "To love you more" would sound as a duet in French.....
