This is the organisation who arange most concerts in France And Belgium. They also do packages for Las Vegas. I hope they Will Anounce more shows than just The one in Paris And Antwerp.

 

And you are right she could sell 4 showsbut keep in mond that not all fans Will go see the show since it Will be a French setting And not an English setting.

Sounds like a french tour- perhaps the same set list as the Plains of Abraham concert in July. Hope some news will be announced soon.

I think, because she will come once in a long time to Antwerp, fans will move out from whole Europe. She could sell out 4 times the Sportpalace in Antwerp 4 times instead of 2 times. In her TC worldtour in the Netherlands she sold 47.500 tickets. That was only one venue for one country.

 

Céline Dion frequents Belgium quite a lot. Last time she was here was during her Taking Chances tour to which she sold out 3 concerts in a couple of days time. These 3 concerts where the 2nd highest grossing concerts during the whole tour (Only the concerts in Monaco grossed more due extremely expensive ticketprices) due to the high ticketprices compared to the other concerts in the Taking Chances tour (afaik the most cheap ticket was almost double the price of the tickets in The Netherlands or even France, the most expensive (normal) tickets were even more expensive then the most expensive (normal) tickets in Las Vegas at the moment).

 

It may sound strange but Belgium, even though it's a very tiny country with 3 official languages (Dutch, French & German) has been one of the primary markets for Céline Dion during the past decades. At least that is for her French repertoire. After France it's the second most important country (besides homecountry Canada) with even more French speaking people (either native or bilangual) then in Canada. Now for the English market Belgium is of far less importance, even though the majority of the people in Belgium are Flemish (Dutch speaking natives) and are fluent in English.

Well, I guess she'll do a bit of everything. In Bercy, Paris she will perform a French setlist for sure. But they also know that there will come a huge croud from the Netherlands and even Germany and the U.K. I think it will be a mix. Especially because her English album will be released at then. Anyway; I hope that she will come to Antwerp and also will do a lot of English stuff in Antwerp. It's the language that I love to hear her sing in.

 

I'm affraid I have to disappoint you regarding the English stuff in Antwerp. If you remember the Taking Chances shows you'll notice that the Antwerp concerts had a special setlist just like France for example. Belgium is -for Céline Dion- a French market, not an English market nor even a mixed market. I've explained it in the previous post a bit. So if, and that's still a big "if", she comes to Antwerp the chances are nearly 100% certain that it will be a French show and not even a mixed one. I expect about 70% of the songs to be French and 30% of the songs to be English and that's depending on how well the new English album will perform in Belgium, if the English album doesn't sell well at all (which can unfortunately be expected even though Belgian's love English songs they tend to favour the French songs from Céline and that includes the songchoice of the Dutch native speakers in Flanders) this can easily be a 80/20 show or even less English...

 

You may however be certain that one extraordinary song (in French) will be performed in Antwerp and that's the beautiful cover of "Ne me quitter pas" which is an original from the late Belgian singer Jacques Brel.

IF she comes to antwerp and IF she does Ne Me quite Pas you really have to call the paramedics for me.. due to heart failure. But you are right Antwerp is seen as the French Market.

 

I do hope she is coming to Amsterdam as well IF she is coming at all.. And hopefully she will do the Ziggo Dome or the Ahoy. with has the same amount of seets at the Sportpaleis.

When Celine starts with the mini tours, i seriously hope she comes back to South Africa in the next couple of years, and does a couple of shows here. She was soooo happy to meet Nelson Mandela when she opened the World Tour in 2008. He is very frail now and in and out of hospital quite often now. He is 93 or 94 years old now. I think it would make him very happy if Celine could come again soon. It was him who asked her to come to South Africa the last time, and I think Celine and family had a wonderful time here.

I, of course would absolutely freak out if she comes here. Would love to see her again.
