chocolatechip15 Posted August 11, 2012 at 01:02 AM Posted August 11, 2012 at 01:02 AM I'd love to hear Celine do one of the gorgeous sad ballads . .Didn't We Almost Have it All or All at Once -- though those are also songs I can't imagine anyone other than Whitney singing. And I Have Nothing is pretty much the ultimate power ballad. But I think the perfect song for Celine would be One Moment in Time . . . because Celine also sang an Olympic theme song . .and I think this one is even better for her than the Power of the Dream . . where she has said the lyrics bothered her because there are some people for whom dreams are not enough (e.g. sick children like her niece Karine). but the message of One Moment in Time . . . "when I'm more than I thought I could be" -- and the message that "each day I live . i live to be . . .the best of me" . . . Isn't that what Celine always says? That she's not in competition with anyone but herself, but she always tries to be the best of her? I think that song would be perfect for her. 1 Quote

rael1983 Posted August 13, 2012 at 10:17 PM Posted August 13, 2012 at 10:17 PM I think there is a big possibility that Celine will be invited to be part of Whitney's tribute on "VH1 Divas 2012". VH1 will record the show and broadcast it on December 22, and Celine is not back in Vegas until December 28. Quote

How glad I am that this setlist is fake! I really hope Aretha doesn't perform I Have Nothing. browseceline Posted December 1, 2012 at 10:49 AM Posted December 1, 2012 at 10:49 AM (edited) who in the world invented this Diva-list?????? I mean are you serious... Miley freaking Cyrus a diva? Demi Lovato... PITBULL????????What a joke! If I were Celine Dion or Cher or any other real musicDIVA.. I would have said no to the invitation too.... really they got to be kidding.. what a joke :-SThat is the problem with the music people listen to lately, there are no real DIVA's anymore. The direction music took is that of rap and r&b and music that is easily forgotten. And I am not even talking about the lyrics that often go in one direction, just as the videoclips.. Davey84 Posted December 1, 2012 at 03:39 PM Posted December 1, 2012 at 03:39 PM I think the only Diva on that list is Kelly Rowland! This quote is too funny: Premiering on VH1 in 1998, “Divas” became synonymous with some of the most memorable, live, female vocal performances in television history. The show quickly became a highly anticipated annual phenomenon, generating speculation among music fans and industry executives on who would be part of that year’s telecast. FEMALE! FEMALE! That doesn't mean Pitbull! I think it was only a highly anticipated annual phenomenon in it's first years, after Divas Las Vegas in 2003, I think most of the interest in this event is gone... I truely hope Céline isn't part of this! 2 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

LuisMa Posted December 1, 2012 at 05:38 PM Posted December 1, 2012 at 05:38 PM (edited) This show has become such a joke. What started as an amazing showcase of the biggest female stars in pop/rock/R&B/country music has become more of a "who is available because the biggest names have turned us down this year so we need fillers" kind of show. I remember I was a bit disappointed when they included Brandy in the second show, who I admire and respect a lot, but at the time she hadn't achieved what her peers had. And now they just pick whoever is available, regarding of their career. C'mon Demi Lovato! She's great and I love "Give Your Heart A Break", possibly my favorite song of 2012, but a Diva? Hello! And don't get me started on Pitbull. Sadly, the most amazing lineup: Celine, Janet, Madonna, Mariah and Whitney will never become a reality. Edited December 1, 2012 at 05:38 PM by LuisMa Quote
Celine Fan 77 Posted December 1, 2012 at 09:20 PM Posted December 1, 2012 at 09:20 PM God, what's this?!?! Pitbull is great but, what is he doing on VH1 Divas Live?!?!?!??? They should have asked Céline Dion, Mariah Carey, Adele, Shakira, Beyoncé, Shania Twain... there's A LOT of options to make a great show! ferjaacu Posted December 1, 2012 at 09:47 PM Posted December 1, 2012 at 09:47 PM About the female thing... I loved when they invited Elton to the Divas '99 show He is a DIVA But yeah, what is it with this list??? I guess this show proves what music industry has become in the late years "CRAP" The only ones I can kinda call Divas there, are Kelly Clarkson and Kelly...
