I'd love if Celine performs on the show, it would be great, but I'm just not into this whole thing. It will be just another way of showing "I can sing like Whitney, see?" and nothing personal and deep. Especially Christina, Beyonce or Leona Bleah Lewis! On this very subject I think the only singer who's right for a Whitney Houston tribute is Mariah Carey, first because she would sing in her own way and second because she expressed more honesty and real sorrow even than Whitney's mother herself! IMHO

Its stupid that all the major people are there except for Celine!! What the hell :evil: She's better than any of them and keeps her clothes on while singing.......which cannot be said for most of that bunch. Ill be putting in the ear plugs for both Mariah Carey and Rihanna , :sick:

And Ill be putting on an eye sheild for Lady Gaga(She visually annoys the hell out of me....!)

I dont think that list sounds correct though to be honest. I dont think its the real thing....

I also think it's fake. If they do a tribute concert to Whitney I think it should be all about her - not a partial tribute during a Divas show. They should have friends of Whitney perform, people she was close to and some big voiced people (Celine) who can pull off some of those vocals of Whitneys. Clive Davis should produce it because you know it'll be done right & from the heart.

i hope she'll sing some whitney's songs in a tribute by herself because those "divas" aren't real divas. i think the only ones who can sing in a whitney's tribute is celine, toni braxton, mary j. blige, christina aguilera, jennifer hudson, deborah cox, alicia keys, monica and brandy. they're the only divas that have voice to stand whitney's powerful high notes! i'm sure marsha ambrosius or keyshia cole could make an effort performance too.

I honestly can see her taking part on this. She is gonna rock the house for Whitney! The 5 divas I'd like to see here are: Celine Dion, Beyoncé, Adele, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson.
I've just voted Celine for the third time and I'm gonna go to bed right now. I hope to see her in first place when I wake up tomorrow!
Let's remember the two covers she did of Whitney in the '80s and her recent interview on Good Morning America about what Whitney meant to her.

If she finally makes it to be in the show in December, I hope she performs I Will Always Love You. Jennifer Hudson did her version already in the Grammys this year and I honestly can't see any other of the chosen Divas covering this song and specially owning it the way Celine would do it. We've been wanting to see her performing this song for years and this seems like a good opportunity.

Oh my goodness, why haven't I heard these covers before? I would love for Celine to do I Will Always Love You, however I would die if Celine and Mariah did a cover of "When You Believe" I think it would be great. Please don't start the competition between them, I totally think different of Mariah after I saw her at the BET awards she sincerely cared about Whitney.

Well not every Whitney song requires soaring vocals so others could sing those like "How Will I Know" & "Miracle" to name two. Alicia Keys, Mary J, & Brandy have limited vocal ability so those may be some songs for them or the others. They can't leave out her good friend Cece Winans. That woman can sing with the best of them and sometimes sounds very similar to Whitney. They sang "Count On Me" together from the "Exhale" soundtrack. :in_love:

Celine should sing "It's Not Right But It's Okay" - she has the stage power that song requires along with the vocal performance!

Although the lyrics don't really fit her, I think Celine would really have a good time singing that song and it would surprise a lot of people. They wuold expect her to sing one of Whitney's bigger ballads. I think, lyrically, she'd relate to "So Emotional" better.
