Would Celine ever do an Anti-Tour?

Yeah that's most likely the case to be honest plus Celine's team are obsessed with everything breaking records so they couldn't possibly have a mega mega tour that would smash records if they only performed album tracks.

 

However, I would LOVE to see a segment in the next tour (similar to the acoustic medley in the LTAL tour) where she performs lesser known tracks for 10 minutes that were perhaps picked by fans on her website.

This kind of mini Tour would be more likely a flop even if it's done on a small scale.

 

It's the kind of concept that would only attract a few die-hard fans, that's why you will never see huge international acts like Celine, Madonna & Cher attempting this kind of project.

Indeed. This type of concert (and other wonderful treats) would only be possible if there was a major paradigm shift in the Celine camp from quantity focus to quality focus.

What I was saying is that this kind of Tour wouldn't attract the regular/casual fans who represent the vast majority of their entire fans base.

I think it's a good idea that she should dedicate her concert to the rarest songs, but she should do them in different versions.

I would love the idea but she will never do it I think. She always sings songs that she thinks the audience loves to listen to.

 

Like MHWGO, she doesn't like to sing it live but she does because of the people in the audience.

i think they would be very surprised as to how those concerts would sell out if she did a tour like that. Celine has sooo many fantastic songs that her fans would love to see her sing, the crowds would still come, i'm sure about that.

I admit they took some little chances, they added rare songs to the current show: Where Does My Heart Beat Now, The Reason and Declaration Of Love. But these 3 songs were already sang live before, just like River Deep, Mountain High back in November of 2006. She just brought these songs back to the stage after many years without touching them, but it's not the same as performing some of HER songs that she has never sang live before. That's why I got so excited when Mego said that she was gonna perform some of the songs she had never sang before.

to be honest, when I heard Celine is gonna tour , my first idea was, that she just takes the Vegas show on tour. She will probably bring the same Vegas setlist to the stadiums , because this set is easy to tour with. We have seen in it in Jamaica already. She or they won't change the setlist because Rene will probably say something like - The Vegas show was a huge success and we are happy to share this extraordinary concept with the rest of the world. Maybe there will be some new songs, maybe 3 or 4 in total, but the rest will consist of this setlist..

She would disappoint me big time if she took the Vegas show to the world in her next tour. Keep in mind that, by the time the show is ended, we'll already have two new albums in English and one in French, so I don't think it will be the same.

I just mean in Celine's concert setlists. When she added The Prayer halfway through the TCWT, it had never been performed before in her shows. Yes, there have been performances outside of her concerts/tours, but this was the first time she'd added an old song that hadn't previously been part of her live setlist (unlike SM, ABM, WDMHBN, etc.)
