Joey, didn't know you were at One Nite with Lite. I was there also and recorded all the songs available for download at celinechannel.com. It was my first time meeting Celine fans, wonderful memories.

 

Aww wish I knew Vic, I was there alone but really enjoyed the night. She sounded amazing singing live. I prefer that, I don't need perfection, I prefer Real Emotion. LOL I guess several of us NY Metro Area folks went to that. It was her only appearance outside of Vegas at that time so I couldn't pass it up. No planes, no hotels - it was great. I'm debating on going back to Vegas in 2012, not sure yet though.

As the Official Timekeeper for Baptist Hospital, Audemar Pieguet President and CEO Francois-Henry Bennahmias, joined by NBA MVP LeBron James and legendary vocalist Celine Dion, hosted an event on December 16th to benefit the Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute.

 

It was an unforgettable evening, as Dion took the stage for a private concert as a symbol of gratitude to the Institute for saving the life of her husband, Rene Angelil. When the sold-out concert came to a close, Dion (who began singing verses from songs related to time) and Bennahmias auctioned off an 18k white gold and baguette diamond Jules Audemars Chronograph Tourbillon watch.

 

All-star LeBron James has never been one to sit back and watch, and in true Bron-fashion, the extraordinary athlete added two floor seats to a Miami Heat/Boston Celtics game to the auction. The atmosphere was electric, and the auction of several exclusive packages produced nearly $500,000 in proceeds.

I don't see what the big secret is LOL I was there and paid plenty to be there! I didn't sign anything that said I couldn't talk about the event Here was the set list:

5. If You Can't Sing It You'll Have To Swing It (Mr. Paganini)

6. Lullaby (Goodnight My Angel)

8. The Prayer (NEW and unexpected!)

11. All By Myself (I recorded this one, normal high note at the very end)

12. Declaration of Love (She stayed on stage and actually sang one line of it)

15. My Heart Will Go On

 

So all the visuals were the same from Vegas, even the intro about finishing the first Vegas run and then the World Tour and talking about the next show. They even did a "Tonight: MIAMI" that was reminiscent of the Taking Chances World Tour. Overall it was a beautiful event, and she looked stunning. She didn't pull out the one-sleeved dress. I was a bit saddened that the vocal tracks she uses (you know what I mean) were all of the same, so the entire show was definitely not live as I had hoped it might be. Maybe "The Prayer" will be included in the new leg of the Vegas show! Anyway, any questions just shoot and I'll do my best at answering!

My first time to post so here goes... I missed the New Day show and only discovered it on DVD after the Taking Chances had passed through my town. You can all just imagine how sick I was to be so late to discover how incredible a performer this lady is. I bought the Blu Ray of the Taking Chances World tour and also the Engish and French versions of the live CD/DVD Taking Chances Tour and have managed to successfully introduce many people to this wonderful artist.

 

When the return to Vegas was announced I did not hesitate to go and see her and although I was exhausted from the journey from Europe I was six rows from the front and singing my head off all the way through the concert. I will return soon and will see her twice in the week I will be there.

 

One thing worries me... I was sure the full show was live as I was so close I would have spotted any lip syncing. Is there any doubt about the fact that Celine sings completely live every night? I would be terribly disappointed to go all that way and to feel I went for something less than a live show. I worked in Vegas and know a lot of the show tricks but please reassure me folks that we are getting a live show every night!!

I agree! This has been a pet peeve of mine from the beginning. Some of the other people on this site say that she does lip some of the songs. I find that extremely disappointing. I would love a representative from the Celine camp to tell us whether she lip synchs or not. To my mind, even one lipped song is a lie to the fans and the audience who have come to hear her fabulous voice. She is one of the sweetest artists ever. I hate to think it is possible that she is really NOT singing in some songs.

I was born, raised, and am currently living in South Florida but I went to NYU for college, which is why I was able to attend the One Nite With Lite event. There was a program given out, a very nice one in fact. I'll see if I can get some pictures of it and post on here for everyone.

I don't think any audio was ever found from it? Could be wrong tho
