Great Job Celine!

Not bad at all! However, it definitely should be #1. TAST is much better than Noel.

This is absolutly great news. I thought MC´s christmast album will be nb. 1, Noel as nb. 1 is little surprise, nb. 1 for Céline would be perfect, but nb. 2 is also great position.

Oh wow that's great  I thought MC would be #1 as well because of 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' but hey I liked Josh's album so yeah this is really good ^_^

I'd have loved to see Célines album as #1 .. I can't remember ever really listening to Josh. But second place's of course good as well :D and I'm convinced that Céline could still beat Josh ^_^

What?? How is Josh Groban on top when Celine's Christmas album was released 10 years before his? I always heard Kenny G had the highest selling Christmas album of all time. Weird, but I at least she's still ahead of Mariah lol.

The list is incorrect or rather, incomplete... it omitted Kenny G's album, of all position, the top spot...

here's the correct list:

This is a list of the top ten best-selling Christmas albums of the SoundScan era in the United States according to the Nielsen Company. Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales data for Billboard on March 1, 1991.

1991-2011

Miracles: The Holiday Album / Kenny G ~ 7.23 million[2]

Noël / Josh Groban ~ 5.28 million[2]

These Are Special Times / Celine Dion ~ 5.17 million[2]

Merry Christmas / Mariah Carey ~ 5.12 million[2]

Christmas in the Aire / Mannheim Steamroller ~ 3.73 million[2]

A Fresh Aire Christmas / Mannheim Steamroller ~ 3.61 million[2]

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas / Mannheim Steamroller ~ 3.48 million[2]

Now That's What I Call Christmas! / various artists ~ 3.39 million[2]

Christmas Eve and Other Stories / Trans-Siberian Orchestra ~ 3.19 million[2]

Wow, that is fantastic news there is nothing wrong with number two. But, it would be nice if she was number 1.

WHAT????????????? Wasn't she number 1 last year???

(KennyG 's Miracles having more sales than her, but it didnt count because its only an instrumental xmas album)

I cannot stand Groban, EVERYBODY loves him, I don't. Big voice, but it sounds like everything's coming out of his nose. Wayyyy to nasal for me.

I bet Celine secretly damn the day she asked him to sing with her. Hahaha jk

IMO Josh Groban sounds like a goat. So annoying...

In all honesty I think he is very overrated there are plenty of male singers more talented than him such as Andrea Bocelli, George Michael and more.

Anyway, I'm glad Celine's ''These Are Special Times'' is the #1 best selling Xmas album by a female artist in the USA and in the world. :-D

Yeah, Celine's voice is not nasal at all

Lol that sounded really sarcastic, if it was, I totally disagree. Celine may have became nasal over the years. But from 1990 thru 2003 (until she released 1F4T) she is in no way nasal. Groban made is debut with his nasal voice.

ahhhh that's the best view to look at it. :thumbsup2:

Well we could get her to number one....everyone buy at least one copy this year for a present :D Saying that I do that anyway :P

Mariah's Merry Christmas has sold about 2m copies more than Celine on a worldwide basis - for e.g. in Asia, Merry Christmas sold some 5m copies. These Are Special Times barely sold 1 fifth of that. In Canada however, These Are Special Times was Celine's fifth diamond album, Merry Christmas sold barely a quarter of that.

Worldwide These Are Special Times has sold about 11-11.5m copies, compared to around 13m for Mariah's Merry Christmas.

The gap between the two was once over 100,000 copies - now, its shrinking each year. I hope that Celine can hold on for one more year!

Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

Well, don't forget Mariah's Christmas album was released 8 years before Celine's. AIWFCIY is probably one of the biggest Christmas songs ever too. I think Celine holds her own pretty well here.
