Hey guys, tomorrow marks the 99th anniversary of the sinking of the legendary Titanic; a boat that (according to some people, a boat that even God wouldn't have been able to sink). I wish Celine sang My heart will go on live from Southampton or something...

 

Still sad for the people who lost everything that night.

if anyone is in Vegas i reccomend the Titanic Artifact Museum at the Luxor. Its very touching and has a lot of great artifacts from the titanic including "the big piece" they recovered from the hull. You can even see a replica of the grand stair case and the guest rooms and stuff. Very cool.

Yes I saw this when it was in Minnesota (many, if not all, of the pieces go on tour around the country), and it was really amazing! One of the coolest things was that you could try on the lifejackets (sooooo HEAVY! you wouldn't even believe it!) and they also had the size of a lifeboat projected on the floor so you could see how many people they really could hold.

 

I definitely recommend it as well!

Yes, I've read that!. Hopefully next year we'll be enjoying Titanic again in theaters but in 3D this time!

Right before she started singing MHWGO at VH1 Divas Live, she said: You know, I've sang this next song many times in the past few months but it takes an special significance tonight: This is the exact date 86 years ago the Titanic struck that iceberg. I dedicate this song to courageous passengers and crew of the Titanic. Their story goes on.

 

 

And yes, those rumours about the 2012 3D re-release are true. I started a topic about that during the Summer of 2009.

I visited the Titanic exhibition at the Putnum museum in Davenport, IA today. It was to my surprise that I went on the 99th anniversary.

I am hoping that there will be a special of some kind to mark its 100 anniversary. I could only dream that Sissel & Celine would come together to pay tribute - to what made them true stars.

 

They can give all the awards they want to Leo & Kate, but Sissel & Celine made the movie for me.

Divas Live was also broadcasted today 13 years ago! Went to the Titanic exhibition here in Toronto back in 2007(10 year anniversary of LTAL and Titanic movie and soundtrack ) and it was really an experience to see actual stuff from the ship! You just felt the scope of the tragedy I remember, my friend(out of the blue) asked one of the staff if she experienced anything paranormal at the exhibition and she said yes. Before the opening of the exhibit, she felt that there are people around her even though she was the only one there. Same thing my friend felt (that's why she asked in the first place as she told me later on) As for me, it was a sombre yet interesting experience going to the exhibit.

 

Planning to watch Titanic tonight and if I have time Divas Live as well^_^ Rest in peace Titanic We will never forget

(I wish she would sing My Heart Will Go On at least once before too long. I wonder why Celine and Sissel have never sung together? It's hard to believe they have never even been pictured together... at least to my knowledge. I always wondered if there was a copyright issue between the two... just for reasons such as: Sissel's overture is never played at the intro to Celine's performances of MHWGO... somebody else sings it...? )

an album dedicated to the people involved in the Titanic tragedy perhaps. Of course it would include Celine's MHWGO as the first track and then other artists who have their own songs for the album and one more new song from Celine for the 100th anniversary.
