Brody-Celine Posted April 1, 2011 at 11:43 AM Posted April 1, 2011 at 11:43 AM OH MY GOD! PLEASE LET SHANIA BE THERE The two of them in the same room, my life would be complete. I So want them to duet already Quote
light_secret Posted April 1, 2011 at 12:58 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 12:58 PM I think she will be there in person...remember the Divas Duets in Las Vegas she did perform third and directly went to Caesar's Palace for her show after she sung Have You Ever Been In Love. There's no wonder she might do the same thing. Quote
light_secret Posted April 1, 2011 at 01:00 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 01:00 PM Being invited to be at the Country Award Show doesn't mean that she will do a country album...it would be a surprised if she will. Quote
smash Posted April 1, 2011 at 01:02 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 01:02 PM Don't know where i read it that Shania might be thinking of coming to Ceasars after Celine, whenever she finishes. I like her singing as well. Have a couple of her CDS and DVD. Quote

I So want them to duet already did you know shania did the backing vocals for if walls could talk? there's a clip of them accepting a special juno together and being all pally. they also did divas live 98 together Edited April 1, 2011 at 02:18 PM by Your_Su_Phu Quote
sfbaysinger Posted April 1, 2011 at 03:16 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 03:16 PM I cannot imagine for the life of me that she would ever do a country song. I think she can like that music, and even participate in what's special to that genre without taking it on anc becoming part of it. It's not in her voice, her style, her sound, and I for one, think she knows that. I don't think we should get too concerned. I think she knows herself and her limits, and, just in case she gets a little too enthusiastic, Rene sure does!Just let's enjoy this. I don't think it's indicative of things to come or a new direction for her. She can just be part of it without having to anchor herself in it. I'm sure she'll look amazing, Shania is great and a duet would be lovely. Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
Angel2006 Posted April 1, 2011 at 03:36 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 03:36 PM I have noticed lately, celebs that have nothing to do with country music are presenting at there award shows. I think country is trying to broaden there fan base and have people at the award shows, that you wouldn't usually see there. There theory seems to be working, cuz i noticed some of you saying you are going to watch the show, but you wouldn't usually watch it. Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have really brought a fresh different feeling to the new generation of country music and i think country is going in a new direction and having more fans then before. Bringing celebs to there shows, like actors, or pop and rock singers is going to bring them even more fans, cuz people who wouln't usually watch the county music shows, are going to tune in to see there fav celeb. Anniina Posted April 1, 2011 at 04:44 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 04:44 PM Random, Its because she is so close to the venue.. My goodness Celine doing a country album could you imagine the yoddling! Céline is now yoddling in my head, thanks Quote "If you follow your dreams it means you follow your heart. And if you follow your heart - I don't think you can go wrong."
sfbaysinger Posted April 1, 2011 at 05:54 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 05:54 PM I can't imagine it, but even if she did yoddle, I bet she'd sound FABULOUS at it! Thanks Anniina for the audio/visual! Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
Nmj Posted April 1, 2011 at 06:15 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 06:15 PM Im excited! lol, i bet she presents female artist of the year! Quote
Your_Su_Phu Posted April 1, 2011 at 06:24 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 06:24 PM I can't imagine it, but even if she did yoddle, I bet she'd sound FABULOUS at it! Thanks Anniina for the audio/visual! She kind of (but not really) yodles in "Destin" hehe speaking of country going pop, I think shania did it best in the late 90's. "come on over" is the best selling solo female album of all time Quote

Nmj Posted April 1, 2011 at 06:49 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 06:49 PM (edited) I Don't think she will do a country album, but i would LOVE if she did because country music is welcoming to cross-over artists, and CELINE would be able to have lots of success, Reba is still winning awards and making hits despite her age. Also Martina McBride who is very similar to Celine is very popular. A Country album could get Celine lots of success actually. Edited April 1, 2011 at 06:52 PM by Nmj Quote
celine-rc Posted April 1, 2011 at 07:14 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 07:14 PM I'd love to hear her yodel, just because I get a big kick out of it but please, not on an album!!!! Just a 30 second to a minute thing on a DVD or something while she's fooling around would be just so freaking hilarious! Nmj Posted April 1, 2011 at 07:38 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 07:38 PM Look at this Martina song, which could easily be a perfect song for Celine, she could do it Quote
GoldenLeaf Posted April 1, 2011 at 08:06 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 08:06 PM Pleeeeeaaaase Celine, no country music! I completely agree. I can't stand country music. It would be a huge disappoint for me if she'd release a country album. Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted April 1, 2011 at 08:40 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 08:40 PM (edited) I completely agree. I can't stand country music. It would be a huge disappoint for me if she'd release a country album. There are many variations of country music. There is bluegrass which is usually the kind that gets made fun of the most for its use (or overuse depending whom you ask) of "twang". Then there is the more Gospel/blues country which Elvis was known for. You also have classical country which would be where Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash would fall under. And finally you have more modern material with artists like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, George Strait, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, etc. So, I have a feeling for someone to make a blanket statement of "I can't stand country music" would be considered inaccurate. CelineAndRene Posted April 1, 2011 at 10:00 PM Posted April 1, 2011 at 10:00 PM thanks for the news Mathias! "Scheduled to present" could mean she sends a video... But I hope she'll be there in person, I mean is just a few blocks from Caesars, come on! I wonder if Shania will be there too... that would be great if they took a picture together again I'm positive she will be there in person. It's in Las Vegas after all. Belle Céline Posted April 2, 2011 at 12:00 AM Posted April 2, 2011 at 12:00 AM She could be there in person, depends on what award she presents and what time it is because everyone keeps saying she has a show that night so she won't be there in person.
